WMNOE

When you think of nasty, animal-like, evil baddies, who comes to mind? Venom - naaah... too 80's. In fact, I can't even think of any other nasty, animal-like evil villains, well, with the exception of Sabretooth.

Victor Creel is quite possibly as old or older than Wolverine. His origin story is almost as shady as Logan's. And of of course, there was the old Weapon X storyline (which looks like it's getting some revisiting over in The New X-Men written by Grant Morrison) which made the claim that Victor was in fact Logan's father. Of course, he's not, it was false memory implants, or some such. In any case, Sabretooth is in fact, Wolvie's arch nemesis, a fact any good comic fan knows well. Even if they didn't, the first X-Men movie should have made it clear to them.

The Veteran Sabretooth packs a wallop, and is fairly inexpensive for what you get. At 69 points he fits on many teams quite easily, and most likely isn't the most expensive clix in the mix. He's got 8 clicks of health and a damage of 16 which includes Toughness and Regeneration. Creel ain't going down easy, that's for sure. A starting 3 damage gives way to 2 after the first click, when you get Battle Fury. The damage doesn't matter though, 'cause Creel has B/C/F, and who wouldn't use that given the chance? 'Tooth is fast, but not that fast, his 8 starting speed drops to 6 after the first click, and he only gets 2 clicks of Charge. His starting attack of 10 is usually enough to hit even the most hardy of clix.

Did I mention that he's Wolverine's arch-enemy? Yeah, and he's a brotherhood member too. All in all, Vet Sabretooth passes muster for a nasty villain group. I'd use him in any 300+ point game.

Sabretooth is a miniature piece of art. Being a larger figure, the details are quite nicely done, and the post definitely captures the essence of the character. Unfortunately, WK decided to make Sabretooth an REV, and a 2-3-4 REV at that, which means you shouldn't have to pay more than a couple of bucks for this clix. In fact, I've seen REV sets sell for a couple of bucks on Ebay.

My Ratings:
Playability 4 of 5
Collectability 2 of 5.

Next time we journey to Latveria, land of Dr. Doom!  'Nuff Said.
Jester7 Today's click is Wolverine's arch-enemy, Sabretooth. The two have almost completely identical dials. The two things that separate Sabretooth from Wolvie are the Brotherhood team ability and the cheaper cost at 69 points. In my opinion, Sabretooth is a better choice unless you are running some of the X-Men in your force. Although they are practically the same, he is cheaper and he moves for free. That just makes him better period.

Overall, he is a good close combat attacker. He has decent attack values with Blades/Claws/Fangs. And if he takes some damage he can heal himself with Regeneration. His defense values aren't that great though, so he is going to need that Regeneration to keep himself in the battle longer. Another good close combat attacker who can benefit from the use of a taxi. I'd personally use Nightcrawler, Spiral, or Taskmaster over this guy for close combat, but he does the job if you dont have these pieces.

Ironman 1110 Sabertooth:

Not too shabby.  He vs. Wolverine, the classic battle.  It is hard to say who would come out on top, prolly wolverine overall, but Sabertooth would certainly hold his own and could certainly KO Wolvie more than a few times.  He is a good peice and you get a good deal for the low cost that you have to pay to play him.  The vet only costs 69 points, and you get some charge and BCF, a deadly combination.  Also plenty of toughness and regeneration make him hard to KO.  Battle Fury, really I don't like that power at all.  It means that he cannot be carried into battle, so firelord and other ranged combatants can make short work of Sabertooth if your not careful.  I personally wouldn't play him in a tournament, but I would never laugh at someone who did.  Sabertooth is not to be taken lightly.
