Pojo's HeroClix "Click of the Day"

So after my review of Elektra I got to thinking about how many different Elektra
clix there are so far (the correct answer is 8 - Infinity Challenge R/E/V/U,
Clobberin' Time R/E/V and X-Plosion U.) Then I wondered if Elektra is the record
holder for different clix. Well, no she isn't. That's Wolverine with NINE
different clix! They are the IC R/E/V/U/LE, CT Logan R/E/V and now Weapon X
Unique from X-Plosion. Let's take a look at our newest Logan figure shall we?
First off, it's a great sculpt. It really captures the Barry Windsor-Smith pose
from the Weapon-X serial feature that ran in Marvel Comics Presents during the
late 80's. Ol' Logan looks fantastic, as he's supposed to have just broken out
of his adamantium tank (as seen in X2).
Shall we look at Logan's stats? Sure, let's.
First thing you'll notice is that he's cheap. Really cheap. At 46 points if
you've got one, put him in your team. The only two versions of Wolvie that are
cheaper are the two Rookie versions!
He's only got 6 clicks of health, and a starting damage of 14, but you get
toughness for the first two, willpower for the next two and regeneration for the
last two. He's only got an attack of 9 to start, but he gets blades/fangs/claws
for the whole dial. Youch! With a speed of 8 with stealth for the first two
clicks, you can move him in and let him slice and dice. He's got a starting
damage of 2, but if you don't use B/F/C you're nuts. Well balanced, but not
invincible. He works well in a 200 point game, better in a 300 pointer.
Weapon X is a Unique from the latest set, so he's got some panache.
Unfortunately most collectors don't seem to be enthralled with yet another
version of Wolverine, thus the prices are being kept down. He currently trades
for between $13 and $27 on Ebay, with some in the $20 range not selling.

Playability - 4 of 5
Collectability -4.5 of 5 |

This is the worst incarnation of Wolverine to the date. He costs 46
points
and sports a wide variety of superpowers but there are better options out
there such as U Elektra, E Black Panther, and U Wolverine from IC. He starts
with a speed of 8 and Stealth, a great power that makes opponents
come in close to attack him. He has an attack of 9 with
Blades/Claws/Fangs(BCF), which is also a great power and a nice combo with
stealth. His defense is really low at 14 even though he has toughness. Later
on, he gains willpower and regeneration to heal him back up. In damage, he
has battle fury assuring you that he can't be mind controlled. It might seem
that these mix of powers are really good but his combat values are all
pretty
low for his point cost and there are better options for less points. In
sealed or draft play, he is actually pretty good as a backup hitter if
you're
lucky enough to get him.
