Doombot:
Yikes! Doombot is so good it's scary. A click of leadership, two of
toughness and three of energy explosion? Oh, right, the Doom team ability. I
thought he was supposed to be a taxi! He is and he is one of the best by
far. Play him and love him.
200- Games: 3.25/5
300+ Games: 4/5
Sealed Box: 4/5
The Bottom Line: 3.75/5

Ah, one of the best taxis in the game made
even better by Indyclix. Why?
Cause Doombot can stand up for his own in a fight, meaning that you'll never
hafta
worry about whether or not Doombot will die next turn. You can worry if
he'll
die in two turns, but never one. Use him an Exp. Taskmaster, and watch his
value soar.
Here's the verdict:
200:2/5
300:4/5
400+:4/5 |

Doombot
Doombots are Dr. Doom's version of the Superman robots of the Silver-Age.
He's got many of them that do a bunch of different things, including
impersonate Doomsie pretty well. They're so much like their creator, that
many are programmed to believe that they are Doom himself.
Doombots are a dime a dozen, which is a good thing, since at 38 points you
might want a couple of them. They are flyers with one range 6 attack and 5
clicks of health. Starting stats are 8 Speed, 9 Attack, 15 Defense and 2
Damage. Powers-wise you get Energy Explosion, Toughness and Leadership. All
together it's a good package for a cheap price. Especially since Vet
Doombots are level 3 uncommons, and inexpensive to pick up.
A nice bit of continuity, you can't really tell the sculpts of Dr. Doom and
Doombots apart. In fact, I think it'd be interesting to have a way of
keeping the fact that it's a Doombot hidden. The only difference between the
two is that Dr. Doom has an open hand, and the Doombots have a clenched
fist.
My Ratings:
Playability 3 of 5
Collectability 2 of 5.
Next week's Swimmers (I'm getting all these done now while I have some
time.)
