Pojo's HeroClix "Click of the Day"
WMNOE |
And every Natural Deity needs a villain, so
here we have Arcane, which is short for Anton Arcane. Remember in my review
of Swamp Thing I mentioned Abby Arcane, well Uncle Anton's really nuts. He's
obsessed with destroying Swamp Thing, and has gone to all sorts of lunatic
fringes to accomplish it. At one point he was a normal human, albeit a
powerful sorcerer, he later metamorphoses into a spider-like creature,
capable of terrible destruction. Oh and he's really, really ugly.
And expensive at 96 points. He has 9 clicks of health, but unlike Swampy he
has a ranged 8 attack. He's a swimmer, and has a plethora of powers,
including Leap/Climb, Super-Strength, Psychic Blast, Poison, Impervious,
Toughness and Perplex. Starting stats are 8 Speed, 10 Attack, 15 Defense and
2 Damage. With all that muscle, Arcane can be the heavy hitter that a
villain team can be surrounded with. He'll last a long time, and can mix it
up with the best of them. "If only he weren't so damned ugly."
Arcane is also a level 5 rare, but just like Swampy, he's not in demand too
much, and he's readily available. Shouldn't set you back more than a couple
of bucks.
My Ratings:
Playability 4 of 5
Collectability 2 of 5.

Arcaine:
Arcaine is sweet. Impervious, Toughness, Super Strength, Poison, Leap/Climb
among other things. He has good numbers and lasts awhile. He is a good fig
that costs under 100 points and is very underused. Try him out, you'll not
be disappointed.

A good figure, but too much for a support
piece. 2 damage isn't all that
impressive, and even though 9 clicks of life is nice, there's just too much
for a
single figure.
