Judge Fear is the LAST of
the Dark Judges we’re reviewing this week that constantly get beat up by
Judge Dredd over in the 2000AD Universe, which again, will be hitting your
comic book store in a much bigger way, by being distributed by DC Comics.
Judge Fear makes you afraid…very afraid. I know I’m afraid, aren’t you?
Again, another BEAUTIFULLY
sculpted figure that has little to no play value for another European only
figure...Wait, this guy isn’t really all THAT bad. He’s expensive yes, but
almost playable. The attack value on the Exp and Vet starts a 9, that’s
better than the others…and he has the longest dial of the three. Plus you
get Perplex, Poison and Incap. To bad he doesn’t have a ranged attack
though. OK so he’s not THAT playable, but he is slightly better than the
other two Dark Judges we’ve looked at this week.
And now we come to the part
I know you’ve all been waiting for…Wildwill’s Patented Price Guide!
Pricing Commentary:
Like Judge Mortis, there was only one REV set of this guy that sold for
₤8.05 (which is roughly $14.50). And another full REV set failed to get any
bids starting at $20. Again, I think the long-term collectability of this
guy is questionable, because even though he’s REALLY freakin’ hard to get,
not that many people want him.
My Ratings
Playability first then
Collectability
Rookie – 2,3
Exp. – 3,3
Vet. – 3,3
Next time: Someone else
will be choosing. I ain’t sayin’ who, but it will be someone else…and
hopefully they’ll choose some interesting pieces to check out! Until
then…fear the Dark Judges…
