REVIEWED BY CRAMCOMPANY
Today we'll be reviewing Batman from the DC Starter
Set
Bruce Wayne millionaire had one all consuming quest.
That was to become the ultimate chick magnet. Bruce
was men that was good looking, financially secure
and had his own servant, yet he strove for a way to
be more of a P I M P. Spending years honing the art
of coolness, he designed a costume that was roughly
the reveres of the original Flash’s’ and become the
ultimate pimp. BATMAN: THE DARK, BROODING, CRIME
FIGHTING, CHICK MAGNET!
Since these are the starter set characters so it
should be noted that there only exists an
experienced version of this Batman. These characters
are designed for low point cost and easy use.
Wizkids has done a good job with this and made it a
fun Batman theme. However, I review for the
competitive tournament element and will not
necessarily cut any of figures the slack they
deserve.
POINTS: 47
RANGE: 6 with a single target.
Batman Team Ability.
6 Clicks
MOVEMENT: 8 with an entire dial of leap/climb
ATTACK: 10, 9, 9,8,8,7 with Incapacitate for the
last two clicks.
DEFENSE: 16, 15, 15,14,14,13 with Willpower for the
first three clicks.
DAMAGE: 2 (with outwit), 2, 2, 2,1,1,1
SCULPT: When I think Batman do I think removable
head and breathing apparatus (Legacy). No. I think
this of sculpt.
OVERALL:
Very cheap Batman, with the same normal abilities
10 attack
Poor range and a single target
Batman team ability for stealth, but leap/climb
gets you out of the bush and where you need to be.
Outwit on the first click, where it should be! Are
you listening to me Spider-man!?!
Incapacitate at the end of his dial, where it
should be.
STEALTHED OUTWITTER!
It’s that last one that makes this Batman so darn
good. Plus the under 50 point thing. As I’ve said
time and time again, many cheap figures are better
then a large figure. Always look for reasonably
priced figures that fill a need or do double duty.
Think about Black Panther. For 27 points he is a
totally playable, but will probably never attack. So
for an extra 20 points you get the Batman Team, a
very healable and hard to trap character that can
attack twice in a row and has a range. For all of
those abilities 20 points is very worth it. So he’s
much better then the constantly playable lack
Panther. Is he better then 30 points of Mary Jane
Pogs and a rookie (Anti-Superman) Intergang agent?
Not really. but what is?
HE RECEIVES A 4 OUT OF A POSSIBLE 5 THUMBS UP!
