Hawkeye R/E/V from Fantastic Forces:
Rookie 61 8 range, 2 targets, Avengers TA
Exp. 71 8 range, 2 targets, Avengers TA
Vet. 84 10 range, 3 targets, Avengers TA
All of them may deserve a place in your (specially
the Exp & Vet.). Given
the fact that for 13 extra points you get one more
target, 2 more range, and
higher values, I’ll do the vet.:
Speed: 10, 8, 8, 8, 8, 6 with Running Shot in the
first click and the last
two.
Attack: 11, 10, 9, 9, 8, 8 with Energy Explosion in
the fourth click
Incapacitate in the last two
Defense: 16, 15, 15, 14, 14, 13 with Energy
Shield/Deflection on the first
two clicks
Damage: 3, then 2 for the rest of the dial, with
Ranged Combat Expert in the
first three
Analysis: This is a character you definitely don’t
wanna push, as his
starting stats are stellar. That 10 range and the 10
movement with RS will
allow you to hit from the beginning almost always,
and specially with that
11 attack. Then, you can hit for 5 (and for a 84p
character that’s really
good) but with a 18 defense (at range) you are most
likely to avoid a lot.
It gets even better if you manage to get him in any
sort of hindering
terrain, as its defense becomes an amazing 19! On
the second click, his
movement goes down to and 8, and more important, you
lose RS, the attack
becomes 10 and the damage becomes a 2 with RCE
(which are not so bad) and
his defense goes to a 15, although he still has
Energy S/D, you if can avoid
basing, it’s still a very nice 17. The problem is
when he gets past that
click, because he loses that precious power, and
that means he’s a sitting
duck. He can still deal some damage after those two
first clicks, and that
Incapacitate with three targets and at that range
seem pretty attractive,
but my advise is: once he’s on his third or fourth
click, you either heal
him or you get ready to lose him…
Conclusion: A very decent, solid secondary attacker.
Try him, he won’t let
you down.
