Today we
are going to be looking at the newly previewed Arnim
Zola from Fantastic Forces
He is
obviously Krang arch nemesis of the teenage mutant
ninja turtles. Him and Shredder (hopefully in this
set too) will get those heroes in a half shell if
that’s the last thing they do!
Cost
and Abilities:
Unique 82
points. 6 range/ Single target. Hydra Team Ability
(I guess Krang is a member of Hydra).
Movement:
8
with no abilities.
Attack:
9 with no abilities. …well this is a bad start.
Defense:
15 with toughness. Later it is lower with
Mastermind. This would only be good if you reversed
the order.
Damage:
2 damage to start. Perplex and probability control
switch places all the time.
Sculpt:
He has a face in his chest.
Team
Ability:
Hydra is an underrated ability. Plus 1 to attack is
a pretty nice bonus. It’s similar to perplex.
Feats:
None.
Battle
Field Condition
: I
guess Power Dampening Field is best for him.
How to Beat Him: Take two POGS that hit for 2 clicks and destroy him
How to Play Him: Build a 25,000 point team and under the circumstances he won’t
seem so over costed. Use him like a con artist.
Overview:
Wow Zola is pretty darn over priced. Yes perplex is
a nice ability, but he’s 82 points. What are you
going to do with him? His defense is so low anybody
even POGS can hit him. If he had the mastermind up
front you could put some two point POGS around him
to protect him. But why should you protect him, he
has low hitting, low attack and only one good
ability that a 11 point figure has as well. So why
are you playing him? Oh you love being a turtle?
Well I guess that makes sense.
