There is alot of new figures out there, but alot of
the mail I get is about old figures. So this is
classic figures week here on POJO. I hope you enjoy
Today we'll be reviewing Sinestro from
Legacy
Was EVERY character from Legacy good? Even the bad
characters had a 17 or 18 defense.
LE, 82 points, 7 Clicks, NO Team Ability
Rookie, 102 points, 7 Clicks, Team Ability Green
Lantern
Experienced, 124 points, 8 Clicks, NO Team Ability
Veteran, 146 points, 9 Clicks, NO Team Ability
WHICH IS BETTER?:
There is a massive 64 point difference, between the
veteran and the LE. So it is quite a debate which
is better. The 146 point Vet is a running shot
Outwitting Brick. But there are much better 150
point bricks. The Experienced and Rookie are very
close to the much cheaper LE as in what they'll do,
Telekenisis and running shot. The rookie and LE
have the exact same stats, just no Green Lantern
Team ability. Now the green team is great, but
Sinestro does not have a high enough attack or
damage to warrent putting trick shot on him. So I
say go with the the cheap points one.
WINNER: The LE
RANGE:
8 range and single target
MOVEMENT:
10 with a single click of running shot. No pushing!
ATTACK:
9,9,8,8,8,7,7 Telekenisis one the first 2 clicks
DEFENSE:
(17,16 toughness), (16,15 barrier), (16,15,14 with
will power)
DAMAGE:
(2,2,2,1 with ranged combat), 2,2 (2 Outwit)
POINTS
I've said before that running shot is great with
Telekenisis. Telekenisis will push your team
forward and then he can move and attack on his
own,
Very versital for 82 points.
High Defense at 17
Low attack at 9
Ranged Combat will not work with running shot.
Flying is a liability now days...can't be
carried and can't shoot out.
Will power and out with at the end, give him a
shot at making his way to a medic.
OVERALL
I've acctually used Sinestro of Kourgar
to win a few tournments in my day. This of course
was before Lockjaw existed. If you need a
telekenisiser on a 400 point or more build, I think
Sinestro or Song Bird are both good choices. Song
Bird has the edge because of a higher defense.
However, Sinestro is much harder to kill. Really
your choice.
3.5 out of 5 thumbs up
Good, bad, I'm the guy with the clix.

time for us people at www.the-haunt.com. Happy
clicking and happy haunting!

People, i know i said this week would
be "cool characters with not so cool
clicks" but today's will be a good click. Not
because Legacy lacks of bad
figures (even if it was the best DC set, there's no
way all figures in a set can be good), but because
i'm not sure when i'll get to pick again. Besides, i
really wanted to do this guy. I'm talking about
Sinestro! So, let's get
this review going:
Sinestro comes in the from of R/E/V. I'm doing the
Vet., as it is clearly
the best one: At 146, he has 9 clicks of health, no
TA, and a 10 range with
2 targets, and about the stats:
Stats:
Speed: 12, 10, 10, 9, 9, 8, 8, 7, 7. Running Shot
for the first 3 clicks.
Attack: 11, 10, 9, 9, 8, 8, 8, 7, 7. No powers.
Defense: 18, 17, 17, 16, 16, 15, 16, 15, 14. Starts
with Invulnerability,
then 3 clicks of Toughness followed by 2 of Barrier
and finishes with 3 of
Willpower.
Damage: 4, 3, 2, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1. Stars with
Outwit, then changes to RCE
for 3 clicks, then gets back Outwit for 2 click, and
then is RCE again till
the bitter end.
Analysis: Well, there's no doubt this guy's openning
click is just amazing.
An 11 attack is very good, he'll probably be hitting
a lot. And that's a lot
to say, considering he hits for 4, and has Outwit to
remove defenses, or
whatever power is bothering you at the time. Not
only that, he's got a 10
range with a 12 & RS! so, be sure he will get his
prey. And finally, his
defense: an 18 with Inv. is just terrific. It's very
easy to build a team
with this guy: just have him carry an Exp. DEO
Agent, so you give him a 12
attack, and then can Perplex his Damage to 5. Also,
slap ICWO on him, so you
give him a 19 Defense. After that, you still have
126 points for support, or
whatever you wanna play with him. Bright Lights is a
must for him; you wanna
get full advantage of his range and not get screwed
by Stealthy characters.
Conclusion: A great character to use in 300 points,
400 points and even in
500 (if you add Probability Control with a 19 Def,
he'll live forever!).
He's unusable in 200, and of course, he's N/A for
100.
