Today we review icons flash. This is
what people who like KC flash order when they are on
a diet. For 51 less points, you lose a bit of
numbers and outwit, but front load the quake and get
a bit of will power splashed mid-dial, that's a
pretty even tradeoff IMO. His speed takes a pretty
big hit but its still fast enough to catch most
figs. He really is a solid fig, like all the other
flashes slap an armor piercing on him and you have a
great harassing piece. The only problem is at 99
points he's taking up your primary attacker slot in
a 300 point game, or taking up the slot of all of
your support pieces. Either way hes not too well
suited for a 300 point game. Yes there is a pretty
big difference between 19 and 20 defense, and that
quake doesn't mean much since you cant combine it
with HSS, which makes no sense since flash uses his
HSS to make the quake. oh well.
100: 1.009/5 what are you gonna do against a fig
with invurnarability? pray for a crit hit?
200: 2.043/5
300: 2.193/5
400: 2.768/5 kill those support pieces and then
armor piercing the big gins
500: 2.568/5 you have more than enough room for KC
flash here, use him instead.

Today we'll be reviewing The Flash from
Icons
So if the Flash is that fast. When he moves he
thinks so much faster then everyone right? Does that
then mean that he views his life as REALLY, REALLY
LONG? In his world is everything just moving really
slow? If so wouldn’t his arch enemy be the line at
the Post Office?
Unique:
99, No team, 0 range/1 target. 7 clicks
MOVEMENT:
14 with Hypersonic Speed for the entire dial.
ATTACK:
10,9,9,8,8,7 Quake for the first 3 clicks
DEFENSE:
19,18,17,(16,15 with willpower), (14,14 super
senses)
DAMAGE:
2,2,2,2,2,2,1
SCULPT:
I love it. I do wish the flames were clear though.
I’m a sucker for that
OVERALL:
Ø
Cheap cost for a high defense and high movement with
HSS
Ø
Quake and Hyper Sonic do not work together
Ø
Willpower and Hypersonic Speed DO work together
Ø
His defense is almost always hard to hit
Ø
He is VERY hard to kill
Ø
Transporters have seriously downgraded the ability
of HSS
Ø
2 damage is STILL only 2 damage
Ø
His attack is not great for 99 points
Ø
He still must stop at hindering terrain
Ø
Short dial
The Flash is fairly typical of what you’d expect
with a few changes. I think he is SLIGHTLY under-costed,
but not much. I love willpower, because he can
easily run to a medic without taking further
damage. Willpower makes some of the choices much
easier. Super senses and a low defense at the end
is a great combo for healing. Yet if a team wants
to throw everything at him, he’ll definitely go out
in a flash….WOAH! Did you guys all catch that
clever pun???? J
Incontact with Oracle and some perplex is a must for
Flash. It should be noted that Lockjaw teams really
end Flash and unfortunately everyone is running a
Lockjaw team.
HE RECEIVES A 3 OUT OF A POSSIBLE 5
THUMBS UP!
Good, Bad, I’m the Guy with the
Clix

The Flash
This week's figures were picked by me! So, let's get
it started, shall we?
Today's character is a Unique, No range, No TA, 7
clicks of health and costs
99 points. I'm talking about The Flash, whom I chose
because he's my
favorite superhero. Also, because we have done his
archenemy Prof. Zoom
(weird that they didn't make them archenemies), and
it would be nice to
compare them (they even cost the same). So, onto the
stats:
Stats:
Speed: 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 10, 9. Full dial of
HyperSonicSpeed.
Attack: 10, 9, 9, 8, 8, 7, 6. Quake for the first 3
clicks.
Defense: 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 14. Willpower on
the 4th and 5th, Super
Senses the last 2.
Damage: 2, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1.No powers.
Analysis: He's among the best represented characters
in a click, that's for
sure. His defense dial shows quite accurately how
hard is to lay a finger on
The Flash, starting with a whooping 19, and going
not too fast, gaining
Willpower in the middle, which shows how him keeps
on moving all the time,
and in the end he has a defense low enough to make
it easy to heal him, but
with SuperSenses; so this guy won't go down easily.
His speed it's also very
nice, and with HSS all the way he should be able to
be quite annoying. Even
with low damage values, he can be a real pain in the
rear. He can actually
get to use the option 2 of HSS, because you can let
him stand next to your
opponent: they probably won't hit him anyway. His
attack is very nice,
adequate although nothing special. Quake here is
similar to GL's TK: the
name it's not right, but the power is, as it
represent The Flash capability
to hit all the people around them due to his speed.
Although you can't use
it with HSS, you may get to use, the same as the HSS
attack. Finally, his
damage. As I said, kind of low and no powers there,
but it's ok; this guy
isn't supposed to be too strong anyway. Maybe you'll
miss the Outwit, but it
isn't a big deal.
Conclusion: Very well done overall, and very nicely
represented. I think
he's better than Zoom for the higher defense (I will
pretty much always take
a certain defense over a lower one with any kind of
power) and because he's
a little easier to heal.
Ranking:
100 - 3.5/5 With such a high defense, pretty much
nobody here will hit him.
200 - 2/5 Here he can be swarmed and you can't help
him much.
300 - 3.5/5 You can actually build a team around him
here. Use ICWO to give
him that almost impossible to hit 20, then Perplex
his damage up, and his
attack if needed.
400+ - 4/5. He'll be an excellent secondary attacker
in 400 and 500 point
games.
