Today we'll be reviewing Invincible from
The Invincible Collectors Set
In general the character that you name the team or
group after is the best of all the characters. The
Exception is SUCKMAN and ULTRA COOL ASSISTANTS.
Suckman was clearly not the best
WIZ KIDS BOARD ROOM MEETING
TAPE #127
Guy # 1: That Black Adam is tearing up the
convention scene.
Guy # 2: Yeah I know.
Guy # 1: We need to retire him
Guy # 2: Yeah I know.
Guy # 1: Let’s not remake him or a Heroclix figure
with that combo of Hyper Sonic Speed and Super
Strength for anything as cheap as Black Adam’s 150
point cost
Guy # 2: Agreed
Guy # 1: Unless he’s a mail away or you have to buy
a magazine subscription to get him
Guy # 2: Well if he is really expensive and
difficult to get, then let’s make him cheaper and
better then Black Adam
Guy # 1: A TOAST TO EVIL!
Guy # 2: Money is my God!
J Just joking, Wizkids Rocks… te he he…..
I’m going to get a phone call about this L
Experienced: 109 points, Guardians of the Globe Team
MOVEMENT:
Hyper Sonic Speed and Super Strength is the best
combo in the game. Charge is decent enough of a
back up.
ATTACK:
10 attack for 2 clicks and he’s only 109 points.
That is like a freakin’ miracle by today’s
standards. Super Strength is really powerful in
this situation.
DEFENSE:
17 with Invulnerability is pretty great. His
defense keeps bumping up and he’ll always be hard to
hit with his Energy Shield. His 8 clicks are going
to seem REALLY long.
DAMAGE:
Well put together damage values at first glance. A
3 damage with Hyper Sonic Speed and Super Strength
made Black Adam a God. Close Combat Expert will
make him always a threat. HOWEVER, Seth was very
clever to not make this figure broken. If you play
Nanobots on him he’ll never be able to heal back up
to his first click, thus he’ll never again be on
Hyper Sonic. Unless you Perplex DOWN his damage on
a click so he can Nanobots earlier then intended.
SCULPT:
All the sculpts are cool, now days.
FEATS:
Nanobots, Unstoppable, Incontact are all must
haves. Using Oracle and giving him perplex is going
to help a lot. Protected is not as great for
characters with only one really good click, but I
always run Protected. The card is way too good.
OVERALL:
Flying Hyper Sonic is just amazing. If you don’t
believe me ask KC FLASH
Low Movement for Hyper Speed
Hard to heal to his first click
Owns a very rare combo for his point cost.
Nice attack and defense values
Guardians of the Globe is a decent team ability.
For those of you who do not know that that ability
is; (If doubles are rolled in a successful
attack, that attack ALSO does Incapacitate, if Incap
is possible.Basically it is Stunning Blow
if you roll doubles and hit.)
But there is also going to be a feat card that can
change this team ability, but we do not know what it
will do. It might make him amazing.

Invincible is a great figure and has very few
flaws. His biggest Flaw is Superman Robot is way
better. Superman Robot has the Superman team
ability and is much easier to Nanobots onto his best
clicks. He also has a range. Not sure why you
would play Invincible over Superman Robot, but that
does not mean he is not good. If somebody is
mirroring a 5 star character that does not mean they
are not great, just not as good as greatness.
HE RECEIVES 4.5 OUT OF A POSSIBLE 5
THUMBS UP!
Good, Bad, I’m the Guy with the Clix

Challenge:
I will issue an open challenge for an OMAC LE or ANY
Unique from Collateral Damage at the Chicago Wizard
World event this weekend!
The rules are:
Build an ULTRA competitive 300 point team
This will be a timed event of 50 minutes
You can pick a battle field card of your choice
AFTER you see my team
I will pick one of the ones I am playing to defend
my championship. I will not pick Ordinary Day
I only have a limited time there on Friday or
Saturday, but will be at the play area most of those
days.
You will only get the LE or Unique if you beat.
I can refuse to play you if I feel you team is not
competitive enough.
You can build or rebuild your team after seeing my
team.
For once I read Whoclix since I know nothing about these
guys. He is the son of Omni-Man, the world’s greatest hero,
and eventually realizes that he has his Dad’s powers. After
making some friends with different people with powers, he
realizes his dad killed the original Guardians of the Globe.
When he tried to confront him about it, he got the crap
kicked out of him.
He is a Collector Set Experienced, 109 Points, has 0 range 1
target, 8 clicks of life, and is a member of the Guardians
of the Globe.
Speed: 9,10,8,8,10,9,8,8 One click of HSS, followed by three
of Charge
Attack: 10,10,9,9,8,8,8,7 Super Strength first five
Defense: 17,16,16,17,16,16,15,14 Invuln first three,
toughness next three, ESD last two
Damage: 3,3,3,2,2,1,2,2 CCE clicks 4-6
The Good: HSS followed by charge is always good
Cheap Price for a good HSS beat stick
HSS and Charge work with SS
Damage reducers keep him around a while
If played right can do a lot of damage
Team Ability could come in handy
Fliers with HSS don’t need to worry about hindering
The Bad: No range always hurts
Only one click of HSS means no pushing
A little hard to heal
Needs a TK’er so he can hide after hitting
Feats: ICWO and Protected, Pummel is no good because there
isn’t enough chance to use it
Overall: Like Black Adam and the Superman Robot before him,
we get Invincible. Now comes the debate, who is
better…Invincible or Superman Robot? Where the Robot has a
range and the better team ability, Invincible has the better
defense and keeps another slot of 10 attack. Where
Invincible can do more damage longer down the dial, Superman
Robot can be healed to full with Nanobots. He is by no means
a bad click, but if I had to choose, I would take the
Superman Robot over him. Since I don’t feel like buying a
subscription to Wizard magazine, I’ll take Invincible.

The

He will

Feats:
ICWO and

Overall:
This is a
really good click. All of the powers are in
the right place, the attack is steadily
high, the defense is pretty good, the damage
is high. The only thing I wish is that he
had more damage or movement powers.

Hello

WhoClix Bio:
Mark
Grayson was a normal high school senior with
a part time job - whose father happened to
be Omni-Man, the most powerful superhero on
the planet. When Mark's Viltrumite powers
finally manifest, he gains flight,
super-strength and invulnerability. Calling
himself Invincible, Mark follows in his
father's footsteps but when the Guardians of
the Globe are murdered, Mark learns the
truth about his father and refuses to join
his plans of global conquest. Omni-Man
nearly beats him to death, but leaves Earth.
Mark recovers, starts college and working
for the same secret government agency his
father did. When Mark is summoned to space,
he confronts his father and learns he has a
half-brother. A confrontation with
Viltrumites result in him being charged with
guarding Earth on behalf of the Empire for
100 years when they will eventually return.
In the meantime, when not saving the world,
Mark dates his girlfriend Amber and gives
rides to his best friend William.
Allies: Atom-Eve, Robot,
Allen the Alien, Spider-Man Enemies:
Omni-Man, Titan, Angstrom Levy, Dr. Octopus
Defense Power-
Invulnurability for 3 clicks, Toughness for
3 clicks, Energy Shield Deflection for 2
Damage Power-
4th, 5th, and 6th clicks gets close combat
expert
Pros-
For only 109
points, you get a hypersonic speed character
capable of high damage
Enough Damage
Reducers to help him stick around
Cons-
Somewhat Slow
Only easy to
heal on last click
Speed values
bounce around too much
Which is
better-
Well since
theirs only one fig i guess its the
EXPERIANCED
Why:
- Well theirs
no Rookie Or Vet
- High Damage
for low point cost
- Because I
said so !
I like this
figure, with hypersonic speed and his decent
damage values you have some options. Like
every other figure, ICWO will help him alot,
but try to keep him relatively cheap,
because that is where he shines.
100 Point
Games- 0/5 (What are you, a cheater?!)
200 Point
Games- 2/5 (It could work, with a medic and
cheap attacker, not reccomended)
300 Point
Games- 4/5 (Works Out Heres Enough Room for
help)
400 Point
Games- 4/5 (See above)
500 Point
Games- 3/5 (Better pieces to use, will get
killed by more expensive pieces)
