Today we'll be reviewing Hydro Man from
Sinister
Memo to Hydro Man:
Dear Hydro,
It has come to my attention that you are
a very underrated villain, You can turn yourself
into liquid and then solid. Maybe you are missing
all that you could do to fight Spiderman. Have you
thought about hiding in Spider-man’s water pitcher
and then when he drinks you, you become solid and…
well it’s messy but it would work. There are tons
of fun options like this to kill your nemesis.
Also you should consider not teaming up
with villains that can defeat you. If you were not
such good friends with ELECTRO then maybe you would
stop getting electrocuted all the time.
Sincerely,
Anyone that ever read a comic with Hydro Man in it
Rookie: 43 points, Sinister Syndicate Team
Experienced: 57 points, Sinister Syndicate Team
Veteran: 72 points, No Team
Who is the Best:
Wow, what a terrible Veteran. He does not have
Charge to start or Defend. The Rookie has an 8
attack. This is no contest; the Experienced is
clearly the best. Winner: Experienced
MOVEMENT:
8 movement with Charge is not my favorite, but he
does have Defend and a lot of times Defend
characters do not get any move and attack.
Plasticity will make sure that nobody is going
anywhere, before they completely kill Hydro Man.
ATTACK:
9 attack and Pulse Wave at the end. That’s mediocre
at best.
DEFENSE:
17 with Defend is pretty nice for his low point
cost. Barrier is a nice ability for a supporting
third string attacker. Combat Reflexes makes him
hard to hit even at the end.
DAMAGE:
2 damage with Exploit Weakness is darn good for a
third string attacker. It will keep your opponents
from getting too close to you and ruining your
defend.
SCULPT:
He seems really shocked that he’s turned into
water. Other then that it’s way sweet.
feats:
I think In contact is really important for him. His
attack, defense or damage could really use a single
point raise. I would not waste any other points on
him.
OVERALL:
1
Defend and Sinister Syndicate is a decent combo,
because you’ll already have your characters grouped
together
2
Well costed figure
3
His first click is really good
4
Every click is fairly useful
5
He’s unique and not one character is really a lot
like him
At first glance I thought he was just an amazing
piece for draft, but not playable in a competitive
environment. However, he fills a very unique slot
in the game of Heroclix. He can be carried, he does
have Defend, but he also has that great Exploit
Weakness and Charge combo. He really is a toolbox
of strategies. He’s definitely worth a shot to
play. Simply using Lockjaw to carry him around
would give the puppy a 17 defense and follow with
Hydro Man Charging with an Exploit Weakness attack.
There is a ton of fun different things to do with
this figure. I invite you to figure some of them
out
HE RECEIVES 3.5 OUT OF A POSSIBLE 5
THUMBS UP!

Warning Global Warming Fun FACt:
Will Melting Ice Trigger an Ice Age?
Not likely. But, remember the Younger Dryas? Melting
polar ice may have poured fresh water into the North
Atlantic and interrupted the deep ocean circulation
pattern, which may have sent the Northern Hemisphere
into a 1,000-year cold period. Today, fresh water
flow into the Arctic Ocean from Siberia’s four great
rivers has increased, and oceanographers observe a
slight decrease in the salinity of the North
Atlantic. Although climate models do not project
that these trends will lead to anything like an ice
age, some indicate that over the next few hundred
years deep ocean currents may be disrupted, which
would affect regional temperature and precipitation
patterns over North America and Europe.

Today's review is Hydro Man from Sinister
He is kidna like Sandman, only with water…..yea…..
The best of the three is the Experienced.
He is 57 points, 4 range 1 target, 6 clicks of life, and a
member of the Sinister Syndicate.
Speed: 8,8,7,7,6,6 Charge for 1, Plasticity for the rest.
Attack: 9,8,7,7,6,6 Pulse Wave last two
Defense: 17,16,15,15,14,14 Defend first, barrier next three,
Combat Reflexes last two
Damage: 2,2,2,1,1,1 Exploit Weakness first click
The Good: The Tentpole/Sinister Syndicate combo is pretty
cool
Can do damage (for a click)
Barrier is always good
When is Pulse Wave bad?
Great Tie-up piece
The Bad: Attack values drop too fast
4 range sucks
Barrier might be wasted if you are tying-up a piece
Feats: Entangle is great, Nanobots works good too, Protected
could keep him on his Defend click, ICWO I wouldn’t use
because of his lack of attack use after the first click.
Overall: Wow, what a cool new combination. Combine him with
Vet Bullseye from Infinity, and you got yourself one heck of
a sweet team. He can give the rest a high defense (Bullseye
gets a 19 from range), while he can have a huge attack to
fight off anyone trying to come in close combat. On his own,
he isn’t too bad of a click either, he can be a good asset
to a well made team and with the entangle feat, will be
really hard to put up with. Though I have not used him yet,
I can’t wait to start making a Sinister Syndicate team. I
know I am going to give a kind of high score, but I really
like the fun I think I can have with this piece.
Constructed/Unrestricted: 4 / 5 (4.5 in unrestricted)
Sealed/Draft: 3 / 5
Overall: 3.5 / 5

Hydro Man

Hydro Man, well, the first thing youll notice is his
pretty cool sculpt, I mean damn that guys got some
big hands. Lets see if he can put them to good use.
WhoClix Bio:
When crewman
Morris Bench was accidentally knocked overboard by
Spider-Man, a strange combination the pulses of an
experimental generator, undersea volcanic gas and
seawater transformed him into a being of living
water. This watery form allows him to slip through
small openings, out of an attacker's grasp and
objects (like bullets) pass right through him. He
can spray fire-hose-like blasts of water and try to
drown his victims in his own body. Hydro-Man can
merge with larger bodies of water to increase his
size and mass. Under the right conditions and with
intense concentration he can even transform into ice
and steam. Seeking revenge for his condition,
Hydro-Man went after Spider-Man but was defeated by
the webslinger. Hydro-Man was once accidentally
fused with the Sandman into a mud monster but
eventually separated - the two becoming deadly
enemies after the experience. Since then Hydro-Man
has been a member of many villain groups: from the
Sinister Syndicate and Sinister Twelve to the
Frightful Four and Masters of Evil.
