Dario Elongated Man

Sorry for being late, hope you cans till use this :)

Well, what do you know? I’ve been late with reviews again… man, I hate that…

so I’ll try to keep up from now, at least for a couple of weeks :P Anyway, let’s take a look at Elongated Man here. If you have been following the latest of DC (which you should) you should have very clear who this guy is.
So, which (R/E/V) is the best? All have the JLA TA (the vet. has the new costume, it’s not important but I just felt like pointing it out) The rookie

is no good at 47 points and a starting 8 as the best attack value, no range whatsoever, and starts with no powers on the damage dial. Between the Exp.
and the Vet. the difference is 17 points, the vet. has just 2 longer of a range, and 2 clicks of Toughness (which the Exp. lacks) and 1 more click with Probability control; but given the fact that they have the same health
(6 clicks) and pretty much the same values on the dials… I’m not sure if the

Vet. is not worth those extra points, but I think the Exp. is a better figure for the cost. Range 2 1 target, costs 58 points:

Stats:

Speed: 8, 8, 8, 7, 7, 6. The first 3 clicks are Leap/Climb, the following 3 are Plasticity.

Attack: 9, 8, 8, 7, 7, 7. He sports Incapacitate from the 2nd till the 4th click.

Defense: 17, 16, 17, 16, 16, 15. He starts with 2 clicks of Super Senses, and that’s it.

Damage: 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2. Starts with 2 clicks of Probability Control and then follows 2 of Outwit.

Analysis: A decently represented character. His speed dial, while not the best ever, is pretty much what you should expect from him, and also gets him

around, helps him tie up bigger figures. The attack is not so great, but isn’t sucky for his cost. Incapacitate at such short range and only 1 target

is pretty much nothing, but hey, who knows… at least it doesn’t hurt. His defense is the best from him. If he takes a shot, he takes it big time, but it’s not gonna be that easy: a 17 is pretty good defense, and Super Senses just make it that much harder. Although I’d advise against it, you can even

push the guy. Finally the damage… really not so great values, average for the cost, but Probability Control is excellent, as well as Outwit.

Conclusion: A great supporter. You can use him to tie up opponents main attackers, as even for them it will be hard. If they try to hit him, they have to overcome a 17 defense TWICE and then you have to miss Super Senses.
That is just great. ICWO can help him be untouchable or dish some damage to finish someone, but better don’t drive up the cost.

Ratings:
100 – 1/5 Nope, not here.
200 – 1.75/5 It’s a little costy hear
300 - 3.5/5 Very good if he fits into your strategy
400+ – 4/5 Excellent for big games.

As a final comment, I think pretty much the same Cram does about Ultimate Clayface, although I do have something to say about GL (man, I really wanted

to review him) I’ll get into that next time.
