Today's review is Hawkeye from Avengers
In the last 2 sets he has been released in, he has changed
the game…will he change the game again?
He is a unique(Super Rare), 56 points, 8 range 1 target, 6 clicks
of life, and an avenger
Special Power – Attack – Sharpshooter –
Give Hawkeye a power action to make a ranged attack. Modify
his attack by +2 for the attack
Speed:
3 of running shot is always welcome
Attack: Lower than we are used to with Hawkeye, but
the power can help with that
Defense: 18 from range to start, but low numbers all
around
Damage: 3 is enough to hurt someone, RCE can help
The Good: Lots of movement
8 range
Avenger
Attack can be high
The Bad:
I don’t think Sharpshooter works with RS or RCE
Defense will not hold up for long
Only one target?
Feats: I really wouldn’t throw any on him, because I
think he is enough points as it is, besides Alpha Flight to
make his attack higher at no cost. Protected and Nanobots
help too, but that is for you to decide. T-bolts in
Unrestricted is a must.
Overall: Lets go back in time to see what made
hawkeye what he was back in the day. The Clobberin Time
version was nothing special. The ultimates gave us huge
attack, big range, 3 targets, and anti stealth. The FF
version gave…huge attack…10 range 3 targets…and Transporter
along with whatever team he wanted thanks to Thunderbolts.
This guy is about as blah as you can get. He has good
movement, but his defense is nothing to write home about,
his damage is passable at best, and his power only helps if
he stands still. He is by no means a bad piece…he is just
average. Average is never a bad thing…it is just nothing
great. In a competitive game…why not pay the 9 more points
for V Bullseye?
Constructed/Unrestricted: 2.5 / 5
Sealed/Draft: 3 / 5
Overall: 2.5 / 5
“Heroclix….they’re cool, addictive, and available….the things
practically sell themselves.”
