Today's review is Terrax the Tamer from Avengers
I’m not sure who he is, don’t really care, you know where to
go.
He is Unique, 218 points, 8 range 1 target, 10 clicks of
life, a flier, no AE, and Power Cosmic
Speed: Not great, but mid-dial charge could be a nice surprise to
opponents
Attack: High, pulls an Orion with the 12 at the end,
Powers work with movement cept for the RS/BCF
Defense: Standard numbers, mid dial upswing, lots of
damage reducers, and high at end. I think we all know how
well a 17 defense works late dial for V Steel
Damage: Far too many 3’s for my taste, not good for
nanobots, but the Exploit Weakness comes when you need it
The Good: 8 range
High attack
Good power combinations
Long dial with lots of
damage reduction
10 clicks
The Bad:
Doesn’t do a lot of damage
Relies too much on Luck to do damage (BCF)
Doesn’t take advantage of range
Some movement, but really not that much
Can’t see him doing too much in a game
Feats: Protected, Shellhead, and Nanobots
Overall: Alright, what I see here is a piece that
could completely dominate Bizarro world games, but might be
too much of a liability in a standard game. For the points,
you NEED to be able to do more than 3 damage, and not rely
on BCF to get the job done. Remember why noone really plays
the 160 point Xplosion Unique? Sure, he is not as bad as
her, but he really isn’t that good either. If used right,
he could do some good for your team, but I just don’t like
him.
Constructed/Unrestricted: 2.5 / 5
Sealed/Draft: 3 / 5 (Crazy high attack numbers if used in
CoG)
Overall: 2.5 / 5
“Heroclix….they’re cool, addictive, and available….the things
practically sell themselves.”
