Today's review is Mimic
from Mutations and Monsters
Hey folks, long time no see,
but I am back, ready to get back to reviewing some clix.
Lets just say that college is unforgiving when it comes to
free time.
No idea who he is.
He is a veteran(uncommon),
148 points, 8 range 1 target, 8 clicks of life, a flier, and
an x-men
Speed – Subsonic Speed –
Mimic can use charge and Running Shot
Attack – Mimicry – Mimic can
use energy explosion and super strength
Speed: Tons of movement, basically covers every
situation you could be in. 1 click of HSS is better than
nothing
Attack: Crappy values for the points, but the power
could help out depending on the situation. I am not sure if
you can use Subsonic and Mimicry with like charge and super
strength. BCF could be good though.
Defense: Average values. Damage reduction is always
good, super senses can come in handy, regen is always a plus
Damage: Wow, awful base values. Leadership is only
so useful. RCE helps a lot, but works with none of the
movement options he is sporting.
The Good: Lots of movement
HSS
8 range is not bad
Pretty decent defense
The Bad: Bad attack values
Awful damage, needing
you need to use RCE
Too many points for what
you get
Feats: Nanobots is a given, but I would not spend
too much more on him.
Overall: I have been out of the game for a while,
but even I know this guy is too pricey for what you get. He
just does not have the power to really get the job done. I
think mimicry and subsonic can be used together, so that
gives him some versatility. 1 target EE is bad, and you
will probably never use it. For a 148 point piece, you need
to be able to carry a team. He does not, plain and simple.
Constructed/Unrestricted: 1.5 / 5
Sealed/Draft: 1 / 5
Overall: 1.5 / 5
“Heroclix….they’re cool, addictive, and available….the
things practically sell themselves.”
