Today's review is Plastic Man from Justice League
Basically, because back in the day DC could not get the
rights to plastic man…they made Elongated Man. Funny how I
like Ralph Dibny’s character so much more.
He is a veteran(uncommon), 55 points, 4 range 1 target, 6
clicks of life, a flying transporter, and JLA team
Speed: Transporter means HSS-lite. HSS and Stealth could turn out to
be a GREAT combo. Plasticity is very situational, and
earthbound…we it sucks
Attack: Basically the same as Aquaman’s minus the
powers, nothing great
Defense: Lowish numbers again, toughness can keep
him around, Super Senses can help if your lucky
Damage: Why 2 damage to start? I love Shape
change…too abd it isn’t with super senses and stealth
combined…then we would have an ultra annoying piece. CCE
can help on those low damage clicks, but then again, being
tied up will lead to your almost assured death.
The Good: Transporter
Transporter with stealth
and Shape Change
The Bad:
Attack values are awful during transporter attacks
Won’t be hard to hurt him once he is hit
Feats: Camouflage works great on him, nanobots can
work, but I would just stick to camo. Entangle could make
him more annoying…but do you risk that many points on this?
Overall: Here is a piece that I can see getting a
lot of use out of. For one, he is a flying transporter…so
on those turns where you are just getting him into position
while being a taxi, then it doesn’t cost an action. He is a
transporter…which is always a good thing. Opening stealth
seems cool, and since he flies you can hit, run, and park
yourself right in stealth. Then, Camo can keep him
stealthed just being next to a thing of blocking
terrain…making him even better. I see him as being a great
support/annoyance piece. I love transporters and I love
Shape Change…so this might inflate the score a bit but I see
some good coming from him. He gets a half point less for
only having the 2 damage to start.
Constructed/Unrestricted: 3 / 5
Sealed/Draft: 2.5 / 5
Overall: 3 / 5
“Heroclix….they’re cool, addictive, and available….the things
practically sell themselves.”
