Today's review is The
Atom from Origin
We get two versions of the
Atom in this set, the new guy and Ray Palmer. Ray Palmer I
know, so I am going to go with him.
None of these versions are
pieces that I personally like to play. If you can get your
hands on him, the best version is the LE.
He is an LE, 58 points, 0
range, 6 clicks of life, and JLA team

Speed: Free move phasing and stealth is never really
bad
Attack: Values aren’t anything great with no powers
Defense: High, super senses can make him annoying
Damage: Perplex and Outwit are never bad
The Good: Outwit and Perplex
High Defense
Free movement for
phasing and moving into stealth
The Bad: Low attack and damage numbers
Little expensive for a
tie-up piece
Not really anything
special
Feats: Protected and Nanobots are all that I would
use, but he really doesn’t warrant the usage
Overall: This one will be short. He has a high
defense and free movement that can make him a good tie-up
piece. The abilities can mess with your opponent’s
strategy, and he can be overall annoying. He is better than
the other versions because he probably gives you the most
for the points, but that is only saying so much. I still he
doesn’t really warrant use outside of theme teams. Some
people can get more use out of a piece like this, I just
never use these, so this might make my review a little
harsh. If you got him, give him a shot on a Satellite JLA
team. His high defense is the only reason this is as high
as it is.
Constructed/Unrestricted: 2.5 / 5
Sealed/Draft: N/A / 5
Overall: 2.5 / 5
“Heroclix….they’re cool,
addictive, and available….the things practically sell
themselves.”
