STRENGTHS:
HeroClix's first Sharpshooter can always make ranged
attacks even when based, and can fire past enemy
characters...meat shields will not work against him.
Natural Stealth makes him a good sniper besides. His
SP "Guns Blazing" offers ranged quasi-Flurry (needs
two seperate targets, though)...could be quite
deadly with Perplex or Enhancement on his side. His
2nd click being his best and with Willpower from
clicks 2-5 of his 6-click dial, he's very
push-friendly, and he can use his late-dial Psychic
Blast even in close quarters. Finally, he's a
wildcard, with all the advantages that offers,
especially given that Batman Enemy, Batman Ally and
a host of other TAs share his two keywords.
WEAKNESSES:
A 9 AV and 2 damage and 6 range is not stellar for
the points. Methinks Sharpshooter costs a bit extra.
Also note that the ability does NOT allow him to
shoot past his own allies or to shoot out of
adjacency, so his Guns Blazing can still be nerfed
by a tieup piece. His DV is not so good.
CARDS TO CONSIDER:
SUPPRESSIVE FIRE is an OK choice, as it helps him
affect the battlefield a bit beyond his natural 6
range. INFILTRATE, too, might be OK if you want to
base and shoot a single enemy. Generally speaking,
though, the only cardboard you MUST play with him is
some blue-ringed immobile object for him to hide on,
especially the KINETIC ACCELERATOR, because these
leave rubble even after being destroyed for his
Stealth.
IN SUM: Fragile but fairly cheap for the powers,
Hitman is never going to make or break your team.
Use him with finesse as a rooftop sniper and he's
golden. 3 of 5.
