During HeroClix's year-long dirtnap, many of the
coveted chase pieces because affordable for the
first time as panicky (or fatigued) collectors sold
off their collections. So now that some more of you
have these ultra-rare figures, what say you to a
series of Clix of the Day reviews?
We've started with the game's first true chase
pieces, the Marvel zombies from the Supernova set of
late 2006! Spider-Man, Colonel America and Wolverine
all got the monstrous, hungry-for-braaaaaaains
treatment (and reviews). Now for the last...

STRENGTHS:
18 DV Invulnerability, Super Strength and Exploit
Weakness is a great starting combination.
2nd- and 3rd-click Steal Energy can get him right
back there, especially with Flurry to boost the odds
of hitting. Mid-dial, Leap/Climb adds needed
mobility so he can grab another object with renewed
Super Strength and Invulnerability. Flurry, Steal
Energy and EW return for the last two clicks and his
AV only slips to a 9.
WEAKNESSES:
He has a lot of soft defensive clicks and his speed
is low, steadily dropping from only 6 to a crippling
3. His cost is rather high for these sorts of
liabilities.
CARDS TO CONSIDER:
PROTECTED is good for his soft spots while LUNGE
adds mobility for his L/C clicks. And since he's
going to be close as much as possible, DAMAGE SHIELD
works on every click of life but one.
IN SUM:
A close-combat specialist to be sure, but still the
best by far of the Supernova zombie set; the only
one an ardent zombie-hater like me wouldn't turn
around and sell immediately. 4 of 5.
That's it for the Supernova zombies. Be here soon
for the Origin chases!
