STRENGTHS:
Zombie J'onn here is a standard Hypersonic Speed-y
brick to start, but only on sporadic clicks (1, 4
and 10)...otherwise he's just a brick. Click 3
brings in Shape Change for another level of
defense.
Mid-dial, he gains the SP "Decaying Embrace,"
granting Plasticity and Phasing/Teleport, allowing
him to go as he pleases while denying adjacent foes
the same freedom...and if they try and fail, they
get dealt a click of damage! That's not fair.
Late-dial, he gets a good shot at healing via
Regeneration or Steal Energy (with good AV and
Exploit Weakness). But he doesn't need to wait until
then, thanks to his trait "Power Levels Rising" that
heals him when a foe is KO'd within 4 squares.
WEAKNESSES:
Toughness is a weak damage reducer for a dial of
this cost. No consecutive clicks of Hypersonic Speed
can strand him out in the open when using his
self-healing trait (as traits are not optional). His
AV is a little bit under par for his cost.
CARDS TO CONSIDER:
AUTOMATIC REGENERATION can really keep him going.
OPPORTUNIST works for Indomitable figs. CAMOUFLAGE
works on his mid-dial. And you can double-up on his
healing opportunities with the BLACK LANTERN.
IN SUM:
Not a bad piece...you can make him work if you treat
him as the finesse tentpole he is. 3 of 5.
