STRENGTHS:
Phasing gets him where you want him. Energy
Shield/Deflection + 18 DV is excellent. Outwit nerfs
foes. But the good stuff starts on click 2: "Terror
of a Dark God" gives him 4-range Pulse Wave with
forced knockback. Mind Control is OK if someone
ventures into his tiny 2 range.
Mid-dial, he armors up with Impervious and
Invulnerability. He also starts swinging that scythe
around with Blades/Claws/Fangs, potentially
activating his SP "The Blackest Night", that allows
him to control a KO'd character on their last click
for one last action. Sometimes that's useless, but
hey...you already got the points for the mook!
End-dial, he gets Phasing and Regeneration for a
shot at running and healing.
WEAKNESSES:
2 range is pretty awful — especially since it cuts
in half Mind Control's default 4 range that only
activates if the character has ZERO range. He's also
got those soft spots defensive on his front- and
back-end dial.
CARDS TO CONSIDER:
AUTOMATIC REGENERATION can get him more easily back
on his harder-shelled clicks. VAMPIRISM has a
similar effect. And don't forget IMMORTAL CONTEMPT
to give him an AV boost against mere mortal foes.
IN SUM:
The booby prize of the BB chases, Nekron is an
awkward piece to use. But it's worth it to build a
team around him to potentially use that 2nd SP to
pit your KOs against the still-living members of the
enemy team. 2.5 of 5.s
