Scrotence Malone's Top Ten Heavy Hitters
10-Brainiac Icons: Tk or taxi him to as many of the
opponent's figures as possible. Use nova blast. Clean up the
remains.
9-Superman Icons V- Inferior to the other ranged HSS'ers
because he is trapped once knocked out of the first three
clicks. Oh yeah, he's also expensive.
8-Firelord: Because this one is obvious and illegal.
7-KC Flash: I'm not a big fan of HSS without range. 20
defense, KC ability and outwit ease my worries.
6-Ult. Hulk:6 damage turns to 9 max with rule of three,
which is the most of
any regular heroclix piece. The trick is to get on that
click of 6. I am one of the people that loves it when your
numbers get higher when you get hit. I would memorize your
dial before a game though.
5-Ult. Thor: Some say he is the best. A 16 as the highest
defense means even the cheap figures will hit you more than
50% of the rolls. I am not a big fan of the Ultimates or
Superman team ability because Trick shot is superior for the
points and don't think you aren't paying for those team
ability points.
4-Ares: Really, really expensive. I don't play games lower
than 500 points unless I have to since all of my friends
want to use their big pieces. I wouldn't recommend him for
low point games. He is the only figure where fortitude is
worth the whole 25 points. Rediculously high attack
throughout
overcomes the questionable powers combos. Gotta love mystics
TA.
3-Darkseid V Icons- The best guy with 12 range. Got a
problem with no RS or
HSS? Just put out 2 or 3 TKer's to bounce him around the
board. Piss off everyone with your Psychic Blast with 5
damage.
2-Count Nefaria/Amazo:Trick shot, trick shot, trick shot,
trick shot, trick shot, trick shot, trick shot, trick shot,
trick shot, trick shot, trick shot, trick shot, trick shot,
trick shot, trick shot, trick shot, trick shot, trick shot,
trick shot, trick shot, trick shot, trick shot, trick shot,
trick shot, trick shot, trick shot, and maybe ICWO? If you
use them right, you shouldn't be in the line of fire for
outwit for fortitude to be needed. I usually beat my no. 1
choice with Nefaria, but it's the feat cards that make these
guys what they are.
1-KC Green Lantern: With ICWO, Green Lantern can have the
same defense number as Galactus. His running shot helps
corner HSS'ers and willpower helps but keep PC'ers around
him to avoid the early lucky shots.
Cramcompany said an army of Havoks should beat almost
anything. With a 20
(21 w/ICWO) defense and a much more powerful offense than
any other 20 defense piece, good luck.
