300
points of ultimate victory!!
I freely admit that I was a Yu-Gi-Oh! player until my first booster pack of
Heroclix( I pulled Vampire Batman). I sold my cards and got into clix with
both feet. I have put together a team that does very well, no loses to
date with this team. The team is a four man team
of:
Thor 186
pt.
Nightwing 72
pt.
Black Cat 32
pt.
Paramedic 10
pt.
The thing to always keep in mind is points. You do not have to crush the
life from your opponent, but this team gives you a really decent shot.
Nightwing gives the Black Cat stealth also providing Outwit with
Leap/Climb. Black Cat also has Leap/Climb with Probability Control.
The nice thing is that once she goes to stealth she takes on the ultimate
ability of Thor. So you really do not have to worry about terrain slowing
down your team. Thor is the thump of the team, if you do not know what
Thor does by now you are missing out.
Keep things as simple as possible for the first few rounds. Thor can
"junk" any piece on the board so go after what you can, make your opponent go
offensive. I mean by this, that if you take out a 27 pt. piece with Thor,
you can stay in the defense. Your opponent has to come to you or they will
lose on points. This is the biggest advantage to the team. No matter
how you come in at Thor you are going to lose
someone.
I also have two more things you should always keep in mind. First is to
get a map you feel comfortable playing on both sides. Knowing the right
place to be is always a really nice asset. Know where your terrain makers
will serve you the best. Black Cat has a movement of 8, so eight spaces
from my start goes a piece of hindering terrain. The placement of tokens
plays a larger part in any victory than most would give credit for.
The second thing I recommend is to let someone else use your team against
you. This lets you see your team's weaknesses and strong points.
This also allows you to see a combo that you my have missed or could improve
on. You will get a feel for what piece's and power's really pose a threat
to your team this way. This also allows someone with limited resources to
enjoy the game with a well rounded team.
Now my team may very well be taken down by some other player, but that is what
the game is about.
