[AUTO](VC):When placed, COST [Counter Blast (1)], look at two cards from the top of your deck, put one card from among them into your hand, put one card from among them into your soul or on the top of your deck, and if you rode from a grade 3, this unit gets [Power]+15000/[Critical]+1 until end of turn. [ACT](VC)[1/Turn]:COST [Soul Blast (1)], and one of your units gets [Power]+6000 until end of turn.

How very irritating. So the first skill is decent enough, being a CB1 for a +1 if you were unfortunate enough to ride this first instead of CEO Amaterasu, but doesn’t really go anywhere until you ride her on top of a Grade 3. Now of course, you obtain the Protect Gift as a +1 to you so it washes in advantage from the Ride, so it’s not a total loss, this is a meta that seems to encourage re-riding to get your Gifts set up. However, it has very little utility after that, only making a column grow from 17-18k to 23k on a good day and hit Force-Gift Grade 3s. So unlike Perfect Raizer or King of Knights Alfred there isn’t a whole lot to do if somehow you must sit on Imperial Daughter, but spam Draw abilities enough and you might get around this reasonably well.

The real letdown is the lack of ways to actually make the extra Critical and power carry any weight because by that time she’ll be in Late Game, and that’s when Crits and power matter least because Perfect Guards and other Protect Gifts exist.

But at least I can roll out my “Late Game Critical Sucks” stamp again, I haven’t done that in years.

What’s up, Rogue Squad?!  You know, OTT has always been an oddball Deck to me as it’s always had its ups and downs (normally downs), but this one is very middle-of-the-road to me.  It’s supposed to act as a killcard, but even for a deck like OTT, where their main shtick is playing the late game, Imperial Daughter runs a bit slow for my taste and the +15k and a Crit isn’t enough for this current era as that just means for you to emphasize on using your 15k shields to compensate. The +6k bonus is okay so long as you’re able to swing for solid enough numbers  to begin with, but it just doesn’t seem to do enough for my taste to make this an eye-popping card.

Standard: 2.5/5

Premium: 2/5 (Just easily overshadowed by almost everything else)

Next Time: Our first Throwback of the new era is, basically, Lindsey Stirling as a Vanguard card.

Go Rogue…Go Pro… and Fight the Meta!!!
