King of Lullaby Hello Pojo Fans, Infinitrack Crab Crane isn’t the best at lifting the archetype up. Level 5 with a Special Summon effect, but you have to tribute and EARTH Machine monster, so aside from needing a monster to tribute for this Level 5, the only benefit is that this doesn’t take away from your Normal Summon. If you choose to run Outrigger Extension you get a search in this card, which is a nice 1-for-1 effect, but if you don’t run that card, Crane isn’t that useful to you. I think there’s a lot more EARTH Machine monsters you could run in place of this card that would work better. The protection for EARTH Machine Xyz monsters Outrigger gives you is nice, but it is a Continuous Spell and is a target for your opponent. Also, many of the EARTH Machine Xyz monsters are used for a one-turn style effects and have large ATK/DEF that help them stay on the field. It can be useful, but only if you play the card it can search, because you can search it in the same turn you Special Summon Crane, using the monster you tributed for it. Crunch$G Next up for the Infinitracks are one of their Level 5 monsters, Infinitrack Crab Crane. Crab Crane is a Level 5 EARTH Machine with 2100 ATK and 500 DEF. ATK is good on a Level 5 and DEF once again makes Ancient Gear Box able to search this, which is more useful for a Level 5 since Gear Gigant X stops being an option, and once again I like the EARTH Machine combination. Crab Crane can be Special Summoned from the hand by tributing an EARTH Machine you control and though I wish it was just a free Special Summon, a tribute makes the archetype have a bit of balance and it does set up the other effect of Crab Crane here. You can banish any Machine from your graveyard to search for an Outrigger Extension from your deck, which is a Continuous Spell that gives Xyzs targeting protection as well as once per turn lets you take an Infinitrack Xyz and summon a Machine Xyz with two ranks higher while locking you into EARTH Machines for the rest of the turn. Having a searcher for a card that solid is pretty nice and makes running three of said card less necessary, so I’d say Crab Crane is a good 2-3 of to get to your Outrigger Extension. Advanced Rating: 3.5/5 Art: 4.25/5 Love the color combination better here and I kinda like how it looks a little less like a simple crane. |
Alex Searcy Infinitrack Crab Crane is an interesting enough Monster. You can bring it out via the effect of our card from yesterday, or Special Summon it (still via a Tribute, specifically an Earth/Machine Monster) to be brought out in defense position. Which isn’t great given the 500 defense (not that the 2100 attack is winning much) and this is Level 5, and still an Earth/Machine itself. Next, you can remove a Machine Monster from your Graveyard from play (note this doesn’t have to be an Earth/Machine) to add an ‘Outrigger Extension’ Magic card from your Deck to your Hand. That’s a fair 1-for-1 trade on your part. (If you’re unaware, the latter assists in higher level XYZ Summoning and gives your Machine XYZ Monsters protection from card effects of your opponent). It’s a Continuous Magic card, with all the good/bad that comes along with that, but a handy card to do some tricks and offer a level of protection, all for the removal of just the one aforementioned Machine, so I’m in favor of both these. Like yesterday, both of these are once per turn effects. Maybe not quite as warranted or as good as yesterday, but still, it is what it is. Rating: 3.5/5 Art: 4.25/5 Nothing special, like yesterday, but I like the picture/design and colors better here. Also, crabs have 10 legs, and this definitely does not. |
WarlockBlitz I would say this is an easy 2 for 2. Infinitrack Crab Crane is a Level 5 Earth Machine-type monster with 2100 Atk and 500 Def. The stats are fine. However the effects are not groundbreaking and might not even be necessary in the Infinitrack deck. The alternate Special Summon of this monster costs a tribute of an Earth Machine monster. Crab Crane goes to def position so you can’t even attack with it. The best you can say about this is that it does not take your Normal Summon. While on the field, you can banish any Machine from your grave to search a copy of Outrigger Extension from your deck to your hand. So now the crane aspect makes sense, but the cost seems a little lackluster for one Spell Card. The 2 effects are once per turn, so you can run 2 of these to get to maybe 2 copies of Outrigger Extension, but I think the cost of Infinitrack Crab Crane is too high. Score: 2/5 Art: 4/5 Reminds me of an alternate color guardian from LoZelda: BOTW |
