Infinitrack Fortress Megaclops
– #INCH-EN011
Unaffected by other monsters’ effects, except those of Xyz Monsters. Cannot be destroyed by battle, except with an Xyz Monster. You can target 1 Xyz Monster in your GY and 1 card your opponent controls; Special Summon that monster from your GY, and if you do, attach that opponent’s card to it as material, also for the rest of this turn, any damage your opponent takes is halved. You can only use this effect of “Infinitrack Fortress Megaclops” once per turn.

King of Lullaby Hello Pojo Fans, Infinitrack Fortress Megaclops is a tremendous Link 3 on its ATK alone. Protection from effects and battle against all monsters except Xyz is fantastic protection. With the ease of Link Summoning, Pendulums getting support, and the occasional Black Rose blowing things up, this protection is well received. You want to make this after you have at least one Xyz monster in your grave to benefit from the second effect. I love how it is any Xyz and not an EARTH Machine Xyz only. Special Summon ability and Thousand Eyes Restrict ability in the same effect? You get rid of an opponent’s monster without destruction while gaining a monster back and giving it a power source: amazing. For needing 3 Xyz monsters for its summon it should give you protection and offensive abilities like this. Spam the field with monsters that can Special Summon from the hand, Xyz, use their effects, then go into this and bring back one of them a turn and take an opponent’s monster. You have to be able to attach a monster to Special Summon the monster, and while the damage is halved after you use this effect, you may already have done a lot of damage. With Master Rule 4 though it will be a little tougher getting the materials for this. Advanced-4/5 Art-4/5 Until Next Time |
WarlockBlitz Infinitrack Fortress Megaclops is a great boss monster. It’s a Link 3 Earth Machine-type Link Monster with 4000 Atk and Right, Bottom Right, and Bottom Left Arrows. 4000 Atk on a Link Monster is really high. I love that all the arrows benefit you and not the opponent. Sadly, the problem is going to be properly Link Summoning this since it requires three XYZ Monsters. No Link climbing for this one. This makes me wish Soul Charge was still around. Anyway, if you’re lucky enough to get this Fortress out, it is immune to monster effects and battle destruction except those effects or battles of XYZ Monsters. That’s good protection for a boss monster. No monster hand traps, and it is immune to future types or Special Monsters. As an additional once per turn effect, you can Special Summon one targeted XYZ Monster in your grave and attach one targeted card your opponent controls to it as XYZ Material. That’s awesome. Infinitrack Fortress Megaclops can recoup some of the resources for its Link Summon and remove any card on the field without destruction. Imagine putting a Field Spell on an XYZ Monster as material. For the rest of that turn any damage they would take is halved, but you can already have attacked and then use the effect. Definitely worthy of being in the Extra Deck of any deck that can spam XYZ Monsters. I love that there are no restrictions of Earth or Machines. Score: 4.5/5 Art: 4/5 |
Crunch$G From the Main Deck into the Extra Deck we have Infinitrack Fortress Megaclops. Megaclops is a Link-3 EARTH Machine with 4000 ATK and arrows pointing Right, Bottom Left, and Bottom Right. ATK is very high on a Link-3, but the summoning requirements are 3 Xyz Monsters so of course you can’t get that high of ATK so easily. Those Link Arrows are nice since it doesn’t give the opponent anything and leaves this card to be usable in the Main Monster Zone or the Extra Monster Zone. Megaclops is unaffected by other monster effects and can’t be destroyed by battle, except with Xyz Monsters. The protection from effects and battle is nice even with the hole that Xyz Monsters can out this thing (I imagine it would sting to have your opponent use Big Eye on this) and I don’t think battle protection is that necessary on a 4000 body cause the only thing I can think of that’ll easily run this over is Utopia the Lightning, an Xyz Monster, so the protection is more relevant with monster effects. You can target an Xyz Monster in your graveyard and a card your opponent controls to then Special Summon said Xyz Monster from the grave and attach the card you targeted from your opponent as material to said Xyz Material, this is a hard once per turn effect and for the rest of the turn after said effect happens, all damage your opponent takes is halved. Great to be able to revive Xyz Monsters and give them material, as most to all Xyzs are only really good while they have some materials attached to them. You should have Xyzs in the grave since that’s the requirement to Link Summon this thing, and while meeting that condition might seem hard on paper in Master Rule 4, I can think of a few strategies that can pull this off. Megaclops is a great boss in Xyz decks and a worthy one of in decks that know they can get multiple Xyzs on the field in some way. Advanced Rating: 4/5 Art: 4.5/5 A mix of all the Infinitracks basically, love the art. |
Alex Searcy Anything with 4000 attack is worth taking a look at, no? Infinitrack Fortress Megaclops is a Link 3 Monster, requiring 3 XYZ Monsters for a Link Summon. This may seem cumbersome, but given just what we’ve looked at this week all ready, I don’t feel that it is. Still an Earth/Machine Monster, and Arrows point to the immediate right, as well as the bottom diagonals, respectively. First, I.F.M. has immunity to all non-XYZ Mosnter effects. That’s a lot of protection, and you kinda feel it might have immunity ONLY to XYZ effects, given that only XYZ Monsters make this card, but I digress. But similarly, it can only be destroyed in Battle by an XYZ Monster, which is a daunting task with that 4000 attack, but I digress…again. You can Target an XYZ Monster in your Graveyard, and one your opponent controls. Said XYZ is Special Summoned to your side of the Field and the selected opponent’s Monster is equipped as XYZ Material. Any Battle Damage your opponent takes the rest of the turn is halved, note, and that’s a once per turn. That’s fun, revival is good, stealing Monsters is fun, and the halved Damage at 4000 attack isn’t a big deterrent to me. Rating: 3.75/5 Art: 5/5 This picture I like a LOT. Thought I’m not really seeing a Fortress, and I’m curious as to what a Megaclops is. This is fun and in good detail drawing wise. |
