KONAMI revealed today two exciting releases arriving this Spring for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME!
First, the biggest stories in Dueling today mingle with the best-loved tales from Dueling’s past in Legacy of Destruction. The 101-card booster set, arriving in stores on Friday, April 26, continues the story of Sinful Spoils, Snake-Eyes and Diabellstar the Black Witch.
Then, get ready for another chapter of the greatest celebration in Dueling history, when the 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II arrives on Friday, May 24. The 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II brings 79 cards , plus 2 cards featuring variant artwork, not found in the first set, from tournament-topping powerhouses playable everywhere, to old-school fan-favorites and must-runs for some of today’s strongest strategies. Best of all, each pack now comes with nine cards, with twice as many Ultra Rares and Secret Rares.

Get ready for more amazing tournament mainstays to power up your Deck, and more incredible “luxury rare” cards too!
The Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG’s next 101-card booster set is Legacy of Destruction, continuing the story of Sinful Spoils, Snake-Eyes, and Diabellstar the Black Witch. A new Level 7 leading lady appears, as a LIGHT counterpart to Diabellstar. Special Summon her from your hand whenever a “Sinful Spoils” card is in either Duelist’s Graveyard, and you’ll stop your opponent from activating Spell and Trap Cards unless they spend time setting them first. If they do, you’ll get to destroy their cards! But Diabellstar’s back as well, harnessing the power of Snake-Eyes like never before! When this new Effect Monster attacks, both monsters that would do battle are sent to their owners’ Spell and Trap Zones instead. Then use her effect to place another FIRE monster from your Graveyard to your back row, then she will be Summoned back ready to push back another monster.
A mysterious force pulls Dueling in new directions! A new theme unites Plant, Insect, and Reptile-type monsters under one banner, packing incredible Link Monsters. Their Link 2 revives a monster and their Link 3 lets you add a themed Trap Card from your Deck. That’s just the beginning: protect yourself from monster effects that activate from the hand with their Link 4, and you’ll fend off the likes of Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring or Nibiru, the Primal Being! Finally, the theme’s Link 5 lets you destroy 2 monsters whenever your opponent Special Summons from their Main or Extra Deck. The one thing that unites all of these Link Monsters? You can Special Summon back any of them from your Graveyard, just by shuffling an Insect, Plant, or Reptile monster into your Deck! Since their Link Materials only demand a single Insect, Plant, or Reptile, you’ll find they fit into lots of different strategies.
Want something with some pedigree? Old school Duel-fans, get ready to unleash new cards for Lightsworn! Special Summon a pint-sized version of Judgment Dragon from your hand and it can add the original from your Deck if it is sent to the Graveyard! Pair it with a new Level 4 Lightsworn Tuner! Combine these monsters to Synchro Summon a new version of Minerva, the Exalted Lightsworn. When she hits the field, this Minerva fills your Graveyard with “Lightsworn” monsters and shields “Lightsworn” monsters you control from banishment. That means you’ll have just what you need to Summon forth the original Judgment Dragon! Protect it from card effects with a new “Lightsworn” Trap Card: one you can Set when it’s sent from the Deck to the Graveyard.
Want to go even further back? Legacy of Destruction brings new versions of classic monster cards played by Yugi himself, including Silent Swordsman, Silent Magician, Marshmallon, Gandora the Dragon of Destruction, and the Gadgets! Fans of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX will also find new additions to the mechanized ranks of Dr. Crowler’s Ancient Gear monsters, and more “Yubel” support to complement the cards found in February’s Phantom Nightmare. But there’s plenty of support for modern themes too, like a new Illusion monster that searches any other Illusion from your Deck to your hand – perfect for Chimera Duelists. Looking for the newest in hard-hitting Spell Cards? How about a deadly Quick-Play Spell that lets you Special Summon a monster from your hand, Deck, or Extra Deck, if it shares qualities with your opponent’s monster. Normally it negates the opposing monster’s effects, but if you pick the exact same monster, you can banish both from the Duel – an awesome way to deal with big threats! There’s also a powerful new Field Spell that lets both players excavate cards to dig through their Decks. Excavate enough cards, and you’ll shuffle away your opponent’s entire field and Graveyard.
Your favorite stories continue when Legacy of Destruction arrives in stores on April 26!
