Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice – #PHNI-EN019
If you Ritual Summon exactly 1 LIGHT Ritual Monster (Warrior or Dragon) with a card effect that requires use of monsters, this card can be used as the entire Tribute. You can only use each of the following effects of “Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice” once per turn. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can place 1 “Voiceless Voice” Continuous Spell/Trap from your Deck face-up in your Spell & Trap Zone. If a LIGHT Ritual Monster (Warrior or Dragon) is Special Summoned to your field, while this card is in your GY (except during the Damage Step): You can Special Summon this card.

Hello Pojo Fans,
We have reached Voiceless Voice time on Pojo CoTD, and we’re starting things off with Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice.
Lo may be weak, and I’ve seen a comic where she gets picked on by the weakest of monsters, however, she is the cornerstone to the archetype and her effects allow her to be splashable at some point if more archetypes/cards are released. For now, she will only be in Voiceless Voice and decks running those monsters.
One for One target, Lo is easily searched with her LIGHT Fairy stats. She can be used as the entire tribute for a Ritual Summon of a LIGHT Dragon or Warrior monster. We’ve seen monsters like this before that help mitigate the cost of the Ritual Summon, and they are stronger Main Deck monsters than Lo. However, Lo is a Continuous Spell/Trap searcher for the Voiceless Voice archetype upon summon that also places it face-up. If your opponent doesn’t negate Lo, that Continuous Spell/Trap is going to be active. Lo searches out Barrier or Radiance of the Voiceless Voice currently. Barrier will force your opponent to attack the LIGHT Ritual Monster on the field rather than any other monsters you may control (great protection to keep Lo on the field and give more power to your Voiceless Voice Ritual Monsters), while Radiance can be a shuffle back of a resource of yours and a Special Summon of a Voiceless Voice monster from the Deck: a +2. Radiance can also be spot removal depending on how many LIGHT Warrior or Dragon Ritual Monsters you control. Radiance will trade itself, but the more of those monsters you control the more cards you are destroying.
Back to Lo, she can Special Summon herself to the field when you Special Summon a LIGHT Ritual Warrior or Dragon. So, when you use Lo to Ritual Summon (a Special Summon) a LIGHT Warrior or Dragon, you will get her back free of cost. This is essential to the archetype Ritual Monsters as Lo factors into their effects and Lo needed an easy way to get back to the field.
Lo may be weak, but she is of critical importance to the archetype strategy. While you can sub in other monsters in most Ritual archetypes, she is to Voiceless Voice as Shurit is to Nekroz. Providing all the tribute fodder you need for Ritual Summons and bringing herself back AND searching a card when Normal or Special Summoned, Lo is a monster you need to see your first turn.

We transition from legacy support to new archetypes, and likely the most hyped from Phantom Nightmare is the Voiceless Voice archetype. Considering the Ritual that got retrained that we’ll see at the end of the week, it’s fitting his Ritual Spell has turned into a monster now: Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice.
Lo is a Level 1 LIGHT Fairy with 50 ATK and 2050 DEF. The DEF is at least good, plus LIGHT and Fairy always makes for a great combo. If you would Ritual Summon exactly 1 LIGHT Ritual Monster that’s either a Warrior or Dragon, you can use this as the entire tribute, which is always a good effect to have with Ritual archetypes. This also leaves room for generic stuff not related to the archetype like Odd-Eyes Pendulumgraph Dragon as well. The remaining effects are each a hard once per turn, the first triggering upon Normal or Special Summon to then let you place a Voiceless Voice Continuous Spell/Trap face-up into your Spell & Trap Zone, which instantly gives you the effects of said cards while dodging Ash Blossom in getting to said card. You got some searching, protection, and recovery you can get off this, so pretty versatile. The last effect triggers in the graveyard if a LIGHT Ritual Monster that’s either a Warrior or Dragon is Ritual Summoned, letting you revive this card, which is honestly key to having on the field for some of your effects in the archetype, while also constantly recovering itself each turn to keep Ritual Summoning your LIGHT Warrior or Dragon monsters and bringing her back to keep the cycle. Lo is the key piece to the Voiceless Voice archetype, hence why you see 3 Diviner of the Herald and 1 Tiras Hierarchia in the Deck as another way to help get to Lo instantly. Easy to recommend 3 for Voiceless Voice.

Art: 4.5/5 Novox’s Prayer finally being a monster card seems fitting, considering she isn’t the Ritual to summon off that.

This week we’re diving into one of my favorite new archetypes and arguably the highlight of Phantom Nightmare– Voiceless Voice, spearheaded by Lo, the Prayers of the Voiceless Voice. A level 1 LIGHT Fairy monster, Lo is searchable with Barrier of the Voiceless Voice (covered later) as well as the deck’s boss, though the most practical way to get to it is through Diviner of the Herald sending Trias Hierarchia, since you’ll need Barrier for your combos. As a shout-out to Novox’s Prayer, Lo has a bizarre stat spread of 50 attack and 2050 defense, the latter being a very decent stat for a level 1 monster.
Lo counts as the entire tribute if you Ritual Summon a LIGHT Dragon or Warrior Ritual monster, so if it wasn’t obvious, Lo is your star combo enabler in this archetype. Lo has two hard once per turn effects, the first triggering if it’s Normal or Special Summoned to place a Continuous Voiceless Voice Spell or Trap directly to your field. Your standard combo will have you place Barrier of the Voiceless Voice to grab Saffira, Dragon Queen of the Voiceless Voice, which is why starting with Barrier isn’t ideal. Some combo lines will take advantage of Dyna Mondo to summon Lo during your opponent’s turn, which will also grab you Radiance of the Voiceless Voice for extra disruption. Lo’s final effect triggers if a LIGHT Warrior or Dragon monster is Ritual Summoned while it’s in your Graveyard, letting you Special Summon it from your Graveyard. Beyond follow-up, this effect is necessary to make the archetype’s boss active, so you’ll want Lo to stick around as much as possible. Lo is a fantastic play starter, my only gripe is it isn’t too accessible as a 1-card starter because of how Barrier works. Still, you can fortunately use whichever Pots you like for a consistency boost. Run 3, and Diviner of the Herald while you’re at it!
+Excellent combo starter
+Constantly revives itself for continuous advantage
-Not many ways to directly get to it for your combo

Art: 4.25/5 A little weird they actually went with the faithful translation (Lo/Law) over Novox, errata incoming?
