Pojo's Magic The Gathering
Card of the Day

One of
the best utility cards blue has. In the
right situation, it's as good as an Ancestral, and
in some situations, it's even better. Being
able to hide your goodies pre-Duress is really
nice. Really great with a more full hand,
though it is at least card replacement.
In limited, you play
it for the ability to go digging for what you
need. Can be a butt saver in the right
situation.

Happy New Year's Eve,
everyone....here's a reminder not to party too
hard tonight, or you'll end up looking like the
chick in the Brainstorm pic tomorrow morning. ;)
Gee, more card draw
and card advantage for Blue. A decent card for
constructed since it's basically pick a card or 3
from the top 3 in your library for only (U), and
at Instant speed to boot. This
card would be especially helpful in limited
formats, as the smaller deck sizes of such are
even more affected by the ability to draw cards to
get to your "good stuff".

A great utility
spell. You get to draw 3 cards, while arranging
the next 2 draws. Unfortunately, the draws may
not be good. That's where an effect that
shuffles your library comes in. If the library
gets shuffled, you get 3 good cards, while not
having to worry about your next 2 draws.
Also, if someone
hits you with a discard spell, you can hide the
card you really want to keep on top of your
library.
In limited, this
helps just as much, as you get the cards you
need early or at that time, while putting the
cards you don't need back for another day.

Brainstorm
It hides your cards from duress, it fixes
mana problems, and it fully
refreshes your hand if you have a cheap shuffle
effect. This card gets more
amazing with the more cards WotC puts out.
In limited it's still quite
good, it just doesn't hide cards as well,
and it's harder to find shuffle
effects.

Brainstorm-
One of my more personal favorites for card draw,
if
you took off the then put 2 cards from your hand
on
top in any order, its ancestral recall.
However, it's
not. I've used this in Several decks and
seems very
play-worthy. In type 1 there are better
cards to play
(Impulse, Ancestral Recall, Stroke of Genius)
In Limited. I love card draw, card advantage
is
always good, If you go blue, play it.
