Now THIS is an amazing card. A mainstay in many constructed black decks, it's great low cost of only B gives you some zing right out of the chute. Swamp, Duress you.... I think I'll take that (insert some nasty card name here).

In limited, it's not too useful as people are playing mostly creatures and lands. In your sideboard, it *might* come in handy, but overall, it just doesn't do much in sealed and draft.

This is a really good card early, and not so much late. Early, it takes a Counterspell or other card that they want to play, and effectively counters it, since they discard it. Doesn't hit creatures, but usually, why would you want to. There's a reason why this was the #1 most played card at PT: Houston, folks.

In limited, however, it is pretty much crap, as very few cards meet the criteria for this card to nab it.

Tuesday - Duress

Duress is basically a great card in any black deck. Most every hand
will have a few instants, and for the measily cost of one mana, this card
can cripple your opponent very quickly. Great card in Constructed. Great
card in Limited.
Play it in every black deck if you can. Four of them. It's one of the
better black sorceries, and definitely is tourney useable. Fun to play with
Megrim too :)

Duress

We all know that Duress is good. For one Swamp, you basically get a free peek and will most likely pull something like a Counter or a burn from their hand. Right now I'm seeing people play Duress with Cabal Therapy to really tear their opponents hand apart. Duress would even be better if you could pull a creature from their hand, but the ability to make them discard a sorcery, instant, or enchanment is still darn good. Overall, it's nice against combo decks, especially if you can pull multipes.

Duress is also pretty good in limited if you can manage to draft any. It's definately worth playing because it can take away game winning cards.

Contructed: 4.25
Limited: 3.5
