People
will compare this to Fireball, but it's not.
It's actually quite different. Here is why:
#1 - Kick off cost is RR vs R on Fireball
#2 - You MUST pay at least 1 for Y or Z to make it
even target anything, where Fireball gives you a
built in target.
#3 - It does have an upside, though.
Fireball makes you split damage. On this
card, there is no damage split - it will deal X,
as many times as you spend for Y or Z.
That
all said, how good is an X spell that requires you
to spend 4 to even do 1 to 1 target? Even at
a whopping 9 mana, you're looking at 4 damage to 3
targets. That's Shower of Coals at
threshhold, and it's only 5 mana.
In limited, though,
burn is burn is burn. Anything that deals
more than 1 damage, can hit a creature, and it
variable, is good. Not optimal, but
definitely playable.

Not a bad burn spell
for the Unglued set. Pretty versatile.
Better in limited than in constructed, but if
you're playing unglued....

The Ultimate Nightmare of WotC
Customer Service is actually a decent card. Sure
it is more costly than a Fireball but it is great
for spreading around precise amounts of damage
where needed.
Constructed – A little slow
but not too shabby – 2.45
Limited – Very useful as is
any removal – 2.95
PEZ – Decent but slow – 2.10 |

The Ultimate Nightmare of Wizards of the Coast
Customer Service
The all purpose removal spell
that gets around CoP:Red and other typical
anti-red sideboard hate.
<editor & Level I judge's note: A spell's
color is defined by the mana used to cast it, not
the actual color of the card. This is
actually a red card. - Scott>
Ltd: Probably the best uncommon in the set.
This wins games by itself.
