This
may be the most solid sliver in the set. The
pumping ability makes is playable solo, and having
a hoard makes it a very scary proposition to
block, or leave unblocked for that matter. I
think it's undercost, honestly. Giving all
slivers this ability, and having the host sliver
be a 2/2 for 3 is great. I think you will
find this to be in virtually every sliver build on
the market.
In limited, it's
fantastic. It's a solid fattie on it's own,
and if you have other slivers, all the better.
Yes, your opponent can use it too, but hopefully
you'll be smart enugh to play it properly in those
situations.

Pump any of your
Slivers to your advantage. This thing is nuts if
it hits the board and you have the mana to manage
it. It makes all your Slivers a threat to be
reckoned with. The scary part is when you are
playing an opponent that also has Slivers.... then
things just get weird.

Combine the
abilities of Armor Sliver and Barbed Sliver, and
you get Looming (Shade) Sliver. A very strong
ability, and as the three slivers are priced
equally, I expect this guy to see a lot of
play.The ability to pump power and toughness
will really mess with combat math problems. I'd
play this if I were playing a sliver deck.
Again, I don't like
the Slivers in limited at all. They're too
symmetrical, and you won't have enough of them
to make it matter.

Spectral sliver
Look! It's not horribly overcosted! hoo-ray!
certainly better than the red
and white ones that alter power and toughness in
legions. Very solid in
limited, in constructed it would take a bit more
for me to want to play a
sliver deck, but he at least gets consideration.

barbed and armor, but really isn't THAT good!

all my Slivers can now pump, unfortunately at 2
mana for a 1 point pump it gets to be expensive.
Not too bad but also not what I would call the
best Sliver ability.
Constructed I would
prefer utility to beatdown with my Slivers 2.95
Limited Creature
battles are more important here and pump is always
good 3.50
PEZ I dont know
that this is a top pick because games are fast and
decks tend to be lean on mana 2.50 |
