Ah...Verdant Force.
What can you say? It's a current Extended format
favorite in Reanimator type decks. In fact, it's
become so popular, that we are having a difficult
time keeping it in stock at our Website. People
LIKE winning (go figure...). If your opponent
does not have a quick answer to an early, token
producing 7/7 fat-arse, you win. End of
story, thank you for playing, buh bye now. In
fact, you know that roaring sound that the mtgo
game makes when a creature comes into play?
I think you should be required to make it in real
life as part of the cost of playing it.
In limited, you
play this fattie if you're going green with any
significance. Verdant Force wins games if it hits the board and sticks.

Verdant Force
This king in the land of fatties ranks very high
in the "creatures I like to
put into play without actually casting him"
category, seeing play in both
secret force, reanimator, and living
death decks. He has built in edict
protection, and even though he doesn't
trample, his little buddies create
a facsimile trample effect, or just stay
back to chump while daddy sends.
All that said, he is expensive, and he
needs assistance being put into
play to be good. In limited he'll win games
even if you have to hard cast
him.
Constructed 3.25
Limited 3.75 |

Verdant Force
Tempest, my favorite, Came out just after I
started.
This happens to be only good in reanimator, IMO.
Getting the 8 to cast it is hard in any other
deck,
plus this guy pulls out more creatures each turn.
Reanimator, rules, Useless in most others
Limited..Big Body, Makes more little bodies, play
it!
