A nice killing machine
against Green. Well, it didn't see much serious
constructed play in 7th, so I don't see him coming
in much from 8th either, but the environment has
changed considerably in the last month, so who
knows. In
limited, it's a 3/3 for 4 mana, so as long as
you're going a decent amount of Black, you play
it. And if you're lucky, you'll hit a Green
opponent to wreck with it. In 8th sealed deck, a
lot of people seem to like to play Green for the
fat, anyhow, so main deck this guy.

Well, we still get
this guy to destroy green creatures. It has been
marginally useful in the past, since it allows
you to destroy your opponent's creatures and not
have to worry about Compost triggering. But now,
with Compost gone, I think Slay will see a lot
more play than this.
In limited, he's
probably a sideboard card. If your opponent is
playing green, bring him in.

Eastern Paladin is
pretty decent but not stellar. As with most color
hosing cards the inherent weakness is pretty much
every deck of any other color. Still 3/3 for 4
isn't horrid and the ability is particularly
strong against Green.
Constructed - If you
fear Green this is a decent pick - 2.65
Limited - A solid
ground pounder with a valuable ability - 2.95 |

EASTERN PALADIN
I can remember playing magic at lunch, using my GW
deck, and my opponent
plopping down a Eastern and Western Paladin hehe.
These guys are great.
Eastern is a big mean green killing machine! Lots
of people use green. Even
if you are'nt facing it, he's still a 3/3.
In multiplayer magic, he is a big flashing light
to any green player.
Saying, 'you attack my controller, you loose a
creature."
