Pojo's Magic The Gathering
Card of the Day

Certainly an interesting little bug. It's
kinda like the new Ball Lightning, only in some
ways better, and in some, worse. It gives
red the ability to hit very hard for a final shot,
but at the cost of army decimation. Then
again, when has red cared about anything other
than repeated shots to the dome? Okay.
The problem is, you sac 4 goblins, then it gets
bounced. That sucks. It's got it's
weaknesses, but I think on the whole, in the
"Goblin Sligh", this is a card definitely worth
looking at and makes for a solid kill card.
Even at a 3/3 haste, it's not terrible, and
saccing 1 Goblin to make it a 5/5 haste trample
makes it more than formidable.
In limited, if you can
support the heavy red, it's nice. Not as
bombalicious, but gets the job done just the same.

Clickslither seems to
be one of the options for the 4 drop in the
current Sligh deck, the other options being
Blistering Firecat and Goblin Goon. A 5/5
with trample is nothing to sneeze at, but then
again, neither is a 7/1 trampler or a 6/6 on turn
4. I think the choice will be determined by
playtesting, and by regional differences in the
metagame. In
limited, if you've got the goblin thing going,
along with heavy red, he's worth the slot. He's a
mana intensive 3/3 for 4 anyhow, and probably a
decent sell at the end of your draft.

The third of the
creatures vying for the 4 casting cost slot in
Sligh. Unfortunately, this is no good unless you
have a lot of goblins. I'd play 4 Firecat first,
and Goons if I wanted more, and I would never
want more than 6-7 at this slot, so this loses
out. Not to say this isn't good, just that there
are better cards at this casting cost.
In limited, if you
have 4+ goblins and were base red, I'd play
this.

Haste and 3 toughness makes this guy dangerous in
limited, and if you've got
a couple of goblins he can be a finisher too... if
you play him on turn 4
maybe a quick finisher. A new staple in sligh,
obviously.

Clickslither is really
an interesting card. In my mind it is much
superior to Ball Lightning in that it is less
vulnerable to burn. The problem is that in many
matches it can be an all or nothing card. You sac
your creature advantage and hope they dont have
any tricks. Still I like it and it has potential
for big beats.
Constructed Is it
the 4 drop for Sligh? Maybe 3.85
Limited Not so many
Goblins here but even so it is still a decent
creature, too bad about the 3 color specific

> This takes the 5 and 6 slots as Blistering
Firecats in goblin sligh. Clickslither is a bit
more stable than the kitty, but it just doesn't
have the explosiveness (or cool art).
>
> Ltd: A 3/3 hasted creature for 4cc can
definitely catch your opponent off guard and if
you have a couple extra goblins cluttering up your
side of the board, feed them to Clickslither for a
little extra kick.
