I love Unglued.  The set was a total blast to play with.  This week we'll look at some of the favorite cards from the set.  Today, YOU can be the DCI and ban a card.  Let's look at what this does.  It kills up to 4 copies, regardless of where they are.  It's kinda like Lobotomy, Splinter, Erradicate, and those-type cards, only it doesn't matter where they are, and they are ALL gone.  It is definite removal that will always work if not countered.  It will kill whatever is bugging you.  If you're playing white, the card is awesome, even at 7 mana.

In limited, you're not really getting AS much bang for your buck.  There, this is pretty much a very over-costed removal spell, though it does take care of the problem permanently, so even then, kill the bomb in game 1 and you know you won't see it game 2 or 3.  I'd probably still play it in the slower, more bomb-dependant limited environment.

One of my favorite Unglued cards, mostly because Wizards shows they are able to take a dig at themselves.  And great artwork!  Seriously, I love it!  If you can't read the flavor text because it's too small, it reads, "Few understand the DCI's rigorous decision-making process.

What's an interesting note about this card is that it bans cards for the MATCH, not just the game. If your opponent is playing combo, it can remove a vital part of the combo and basically wreck the deck for the last 2 games of the match. ;)

PS: For those of you that are interested in seeing more, the cards from this set are completely hilarious! If you'd like to see pictures of some of the cards, you can See Them Here.  Just click on Non Foil Singles, then find the link to Unglued, and after you click on it, you can click on the card names to see the pics of each card. =)

Monday - Look at Me, I'm the DCI

Psychatog got you down? Ban Upheaval. U/G got you down? Ban the dog (Wild Mongrel). Playing Elves? Ban Rancid Earth or Slice and Dice. Whatever you need, this card will take care of it for you.

Look at me, I'm the DCI
One of the most dangerous cards in an unglued match, if this gets resolved a
couple of times against you game 1, even if you win because they're spending
whole turns casting it, you'll probably lose the next couple of games.  One
of (imo) the funniest art/titles in the set, too.  Not so strong in limited
though.

Look at Me I’m DCI is probably the ultimate control card but at its price who the heck can afford it. 7 Mana to stop 1 card. Maybe it is worth it against combo but seriously, what deck can afford to wait for 7 mana against combo decks?

Constructed – Too costly to be worthwhile for most decks – 2.00

Limited – Even worse here, plus you never know what they are going to have so it really just acts as removal for 1 or 2 in play cards – 1.50

The power to ban any card for the remainder of a match can strip away an opponents win condition and practically guarantee you the match.  The cost is rather high, but I don't think it's over-costed for it's ability.

Ltd:  Crap.

Look at me I'm the DCI

This would be a better card if it was cheaper. but hey makes a good Unglued card for SBing I guess.

Limited- Prolly not, but you can name their bomb card or something.
