The original best
counterspell. Not only do you counter the spell,
you also get the mana the person spent on it
(you get colorless mana in the amount of mana
the other person played on the spell). A
powerhouse in any format that it is legal in, as
you can cast turn 4 Morphling, protected, in
type 1.5. In type 1 or Type 1.5, if you're
playing blue, and have access to this card, you
play it.
I don't know enough
about LG limited to give this a rating there. =\

Mana Drain
A card thats
considered to be superior to counterspell, which
by far it seems - just try avoiding mana burn.
Its bonus of giving you mana is far better than
bad, which means this thing will endlessly see
play as it always has.
In limited if
the situation of this somehow occured, you
probably won't wanna play this since drafting
legends results in 4-5 color decks easy.
(Thank you netdraft!) =)

Mana Drain
This is a really great counter. But its almost
limiting in you can't just go
countering what ever u want. You dont want to
counter a 9cc creature if you
can't use it up during your turn. This is a awsome
card. If you have the
money, go and get one just to have it.
