Worldslayer - Very interesting spin on Obliterate, I think this is a very interesting and fun card just not very playable in a tournament environment. I would love to see someone build a deck around this and astral slide.

Player - "Attack with Exalted Angel (or insert a creature you like more) with Worldslayer, when the Worldslayer's ability goes on the stack I slide out my Angel."

Opponent - "%&$*"

"Pop Goes the World." 10 mana and an unblocked attack later, you have a reset of the board. Unfortunately, the only deck that may want this would have long since ended the game by then. If you want a reset, use Obliterate. It's less conditional, and you can plan around it.

In limited, probably not. again, you could still plan around this, but you have to get through unblocked (or trample through). No thanks.

A touch slow, but a blow-up-the-world effect is still a blow-up-the-world
effect,  so it may see some fun use in constructed...  but not as a 4 of.
And especially not since the new disk is available.  But perhaps some deck
will really need to blow up land.  And a reset button in limited will often
make the deck,  but I'd say only if you have a neurok spy or something
similar to assure the hit.
limited - 3
constructed - 3

Basically its too expensive for constructed, but in limited its a restart button, but its hard to get through if your already losing and need a restart button.

Worldslayer is interesting as a reset button but I am having a hard time thinking of decks that would look to this over similar cards. Perhaps it would be nice for quick aggressive decks except it costs 5 so these decks would have to ramp up to 5 mana quick. It seems great but I don't think it is as good as it seems.

Constructed - To me it just lacks synergy with the decks that would be able to use it best - 2.85

Limited - Having a solid reset is always attractive but can you get your critter through- 3.25

I love the art.  This is my favourite Mirrodin art.  :( Why has it been attached to this card?

There has to be a combo for this in constructed.  I just have no idea what.  As far as my knowledge goes, you can't slide anythign out to save it, as once the slide goes, your creatures are gone for good.  Same with the new "safe haven" card, Synod Sanctum.  The only time this would be good is if your opponent had board control, but if they have board control, not much of a chance of this getting through.  And if you can get this through, odds are you wouldn't want to anyway.  Maybe we should keep our eye on future sets for this to combo with something.

Limited, I can see it being more useful.  Creatures with evasion are few, and if your opponent has greater number of creatures/artifacts and what not, and you can get past his defenses, it can break a creature lock.  Also, you can prepare for this coming, your opponent cannot.  As long as you play it smart and dont slap it down as soon as you can, announcing to the table to hold back resources.

Limited rating: 3
Art Rating: I like swords!
