Tap
dance your way to success!! Icy is a
mainstay in several combos I understand, none of
which I could recite since I haven't played long
enough. But, it's value is pretty obvious, and now
in Mirrodin, it's amazing. In limited, creature
tappers are always of value, and Icy adds even
more as it can tap more than creatures.

Another old school
favorite. The ability to keep one permanent
tapped down will help control decks keep
control. So it seems to be worthy of a few slots
in that deck.
In limited, it keeps
their biggest problem from being a problem. I
don't think there's any question you run this.

Icy Manipulator
It's icy! yay! We get disk and icy back in the
same set, very nice.
Obviously versatile in limited, at worst a
creature kill that costs a mana a
turn. I'd be hard pressed to say that it would
show up in constructed decks
again though, especially since there are generally
cheaper things that'll
accomplish what you need.

Icy Manipulator
In constructed
its a part of a prison deck I guess... uh, yea,
sure it is. However in limited its an amazing
card. This thing can take you out of a tight
spot, and keep your opponent's bombs tapped,
etc. A mid to high pick in draft.

Manipulator
This is an old
school card that even I know of. There is so
many ways to use this card.
My first type one
deck I made had Icy's, the red enchantment
Smoke, and Serra Angels/Yotian Solder and Ball
lightning. My whole deck can be made now with
the exception of smoke. The manipulator was
used in combination with smoke to tap down thier
creatures. I have heard that there was an old
school combo with manipulator and Royal Assasin,
but we have Visara these days, so I don't think
much of that.
In Constructed, you
will see this in every control deck. I suspect
this card willl be annoying the masses in very
near future.
In limited, this is
also a powerhouse. Tap down a
big creature before it becomes a big attacker.
Tap down the small creature before it becomes a
speed bump. Tap down the one Plains they have
during upkeep if they have been complaining
about needing white mana. If you see someone on
the other side of the table wih this, try and
keep a poker face. One thing I have noticed is
that Magic players are sadistic and they will do
anythign just to be annoying.

Icy
What can a say, this card is really annoying to
play against. Even more so
when you are playing vs a deck with 2 Icys out, 2
Royal Assassins, and some
wizards that tap or untap stuff. He killed 5 of my
creatures with 2
Assassins!! Yikes
They play very well with Royal Assassin, but just
by it self, the Icy
Manipulator is helpful.
