Little Green Men
Ahh, just like the inventible season of spring, Green
Red beatdown flourishes. This deck is a beating
too. There are several routes I could go with it. Fires
is the obvious one, but I've already done that. I want
to mess with people's heads and break out an Elf Deck.
+++++
This deck is designed to work with little mana and still
be able to pound your opponent to a bloody pulp. It's
sort of like those stompy decks running around in
extended. I'm a little worried about connsistancy so
help me out.
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Quirion Elves
2 quirion sentinal
2 veteran brawlers
2 horned kavu
4 chimeric idol
2 mungha wurm
4 blastoderm
4 citadel of pain
4 land grant
2 seal of fire
2 shock
4 rhystic lightning
4 invigorate
9 forest
7 mountain
I think this deck has alot of potensial and could soon
be a tourny-worthy deck...but I also just made it
yesterday and want it tweaked now as opposed to after
six hours of playtesting....help me
+++++
Little Green Men
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Quirion Elves
4 Elvish Champion
4 Yavimaya Barbarian
4 Llannowar Knight
3 Horned kavu
4 Chimeric idol
4 Blastoderm
4 Eladamri's Call
3 Seal of Cleansing
4 Armadillo Cloak
4 City of Brass
3 Elfhame Palace
3 Shivan Oasis
4 Forest
4 Mountain
3 Plains
Ok, so I didn't stick to G/R, shoot me. I really, REALLY
didn't want to do Fires again. If you want the
best G/R Type II deck, play Fires or the nearest
equivilant and don't feel guilty. If you want to play an
offbeat deck that has a shot at winning, this may or may
not be it. It can deal with most of the serious threat
cards in the environment, barring Wrath of God and
Blinding Angel, but U/W control should eat this deck for
breakfast game one anyway.
If you want to survive prison, pack 4 Kavu Chameleon in
the sideboard.
The deck is all about Elves with Armadillo Cloaks
running rampant over your opponent. Eladamri's Call is
for fetching game breaking creatures, usually Elvish
Champion or Blastoderm. There's some standard
utility in there, and I guess you can add more burn if
you think you need it. The deck was spawned by
Skyshroud Elf, an obscure Tempest common that allows you
to channel mana through him to produce Red or White
mana. So, what would you put in a three color elf deck?
I'll admit, if I could, this deck would be filled with
1.x duals, Rofellos, Rancor, Overrun and other mean
things. So give the deck a whirl. Why should
Goblins and Zombies get all the fun in Type 2?
Until Phyrexia is overcome by the Western wholesomeness
of Hershey Bars and McDonald's Hamburgers, Make Mine
Magic.
