We'll, within the past few weeks I have been trying to come up with a
few good deck idea's. And this is one of them. One morning, while testing a deck
on apprentice, I decided to try building a deck with those Thought creatures.
Even though I didn't use them all, I saw this little card again, Cultural
Exchange. My first attempt failed at making a deck with this card in it, but I am
willing to try again. The combo is to get out a lot of Thought creatures, then
use Cultural Exchange to exchange them for my opponents strong creatures, and
making them have 1 turn to use there hand or discard it.
While building
this deck, I decided to make this a mono blue deck and make it type 2 cause that
is where the most effective cards for this deck is. So onto my build.
We'll, the first thing you need in a combo deck is 4 of every card in
the combo. So in comes in:
4 Cultural Exchange
4 Thought Nibler
4 Thought Eater
The only reason why the Thought Devourer is not in
here is cause of it's side effect taking to much of a toll on me. Speaking of
that, a few friends of mine, while testing this deck, suggested Spellbook so the
effect of the Though creatures don't effect me to much, and the people on the
boards suggested that to. So in comes in:
4 Spellbook
Next thing
needed for this deck is mana acceleration. As far as mono blue goes, it has only
one thing in mana acceleration, Sky Diamond. In this current type 2 environment,
mana acceleration is needed to win. So in comes in:
4 Sky Diamond
Next thing needed is counters and card drawing. Without these things,
this deck won't survive out there. So for my counters, I use Syncopate, Memory
Laose and Counterspell. Memory Lapse is for countering big creatures early that
might work better later. Syncopate is to take cards like Parnious Deed out of
the game. And for card drawing, I putted in Fact or Fiction cause of the big
card advantage in it.

And lastly, the land count. There are 24 spaces
for land, so I am going to put in 20 Island and 4 Meteor Crater. The island is
kinda obvious, but the Meteor Crater is for when I get a creature with a
activated ability.
