The point of this deck is
to cripple ur opponent horribly with land destruction and then speed ahead
with artifacts and beat down the opponent with haste creatures. Strip mine is a
good card, can control the board well when u can't get ur stone rains or
pillages. the creatures i choose mainly do their job on impact upon the board
becuase they rarely live long. uphill battle slows down ur opponents creatures
for a turn making that skizzik of flametongue kavu virtually unstoppable for a
turn. the fervor can make a chimeric idol or a flametongue have haste, its quite
ugly when the enemy creaure is kavued and then the kavu comes in for an instant
attack. The damage keeps the life total lowand can knock out weak creatures if
they even make it out due to the minimal land ur opponent will have. bend or
break may seem suicidal to some but it has saved me countless times when the
opponent has too much land and i have all my artifacts out. chimeric idols are
cheap and when ur opponent wants to blast them with that terminate they often
can't cuz he's an artifact.
urza's rage wins games, its simple, u'll have
access to so much mana it will make ur opponent sick and u'll play that killer
rage with ease. mogg fanatics knock out pesky elves and pingers like the
sorcerer. petradon is expensive but he's quite useful with all that red mana. in
conclusion, artifacts accelerate, red kills land and blows up opponenets with
sheer damage.
