Hey everyone! Jon here with another Top 10 Rating, this time its Judgment's turn!!!

Ok, this time around it will be a little different. I will have the best picks for each color and the best land in the set, then, it is time to unveil my picks for the best 10 cards in the set.

CHAPTER 1: BEST PICKS (COLOR WISE THAT IS)

Out of all the colors in the set, I am more impressed with Blue that any of the other colors! Could it be because I am a bluish kinda guy, nope, Cards like Scalpelexis, Flash of Insight, and others are catching everyone's attention. I have been hearing all kinds of ideas for decks, specially for Scalpelexis. But unfortunately, I do not see every Blue decks with this brain picker in it. The card I pick for Blue is Flash of Insight, the Next FoF. People COULD be saying shortly after IBC drops “EOTFOIYL”.

Now, for the other colors:

Red- Browbeat: Ok, red has finally got a card to draw cards. Not bad of a card either. Just target yourself and you will have the card advantage that red has been waiting for since..... who knows!! Prepare to see a lot of Mono-Red decks out there with the kinda red cards released in this set.

White- Commander Eesha: Hear me Chirp!!! This hot Aven babe tops my pick for what is to be the strongest show White has ever had in a set. 2WW for a 2/4 Flyer with Protection from all creatures??? That doesn’t sound bad to me. Only problem is that it is a Legend, but that doesn’t take away the fact that it is still a great card. A close second.... the 1/1 Flyer Suntail Hawk.

Green- Ernahm Djinn: His wish is your command, and while he is not making wishes, he is pummeling cards like FTK and others. The long awaited Arabian Knight card has made its comeback, and with its 3G casting cost, look for it in a lot of splash green decks.

Black- Eh, who are we kidding, Black sucks in this set: Ok, black kinda got the shaft in this set, but it had a nice run in Torment, so Black can have a bad show in this set. If I had to pick a card, it would be Guiltfeeder. I can see lots of possibilities with this card. Hmmm, a B/U deck that utilizes control and the Guiltfeeder. Traumatize and swing with the Guiltfeeder, and you win?? *Deck ideas floating in my head* Ahem... Anyways, the value of this card has already seen $7-$8 on ebay, look for it to be a strong card in many Black decks.

Land- Nantuko Shrine: Not since Mishra’s Factory has there been a solid Land-turn-creature card worthy of a showing. The Nantukos are cultivating a very mischievous land in the land of Krosa, and the land is their very own shrine. It starts of as a dinky land with “tap: colorless mana”. But, at threshhold, for GW, it becomes a 4/4 Creature with first strike. Not bad.

Gold- Anurid Brushhopper: Ok, this card is way loud on the dial. The next time a Tog Upheavals or a Weenie goes for the Wrath, you can laugh and point and discard 2 cards to make this big Kermit the Frog fan disappear into the brush until the end of turn. Whats sick about this card is for 1GW, you get a ¾ Creature with near-invulnerability. On top of that, it is a Kermit fan! Many people I talk to says this card is Broken, but I say “Holly Anurids”!

Ok, time for the unveiling of my Top 10. Ready, Set, Judge!!!

10: Mirari’s Wake- The Mirari continues it devastation, and this time on your opponent. Deck idea: GWR with Obliterate.

9: Guiltfeeder- Pour some guilt on me, baby, because Guiltfeeder is looking to break a lot of opponent’s hearts once this clump of darkness hits the table.

8: Suntail Hawk- It has been a while since we have seen a 1/1 Flyer for one mana.

7: Nantuko Shrine- From the land down under.....  Krosan that is. The Nantukos are showing off their latest concoction. A land that at threshold can be a 4/4 creature that takes no lip from anyone.

6: Cephalid Constable- Whaaa!!! Yep, deck ideas are flying everywhere from the net to the local FNM league. This Cephalid isn’t taking any grief, because he is using all eight tentacles to return your opponent’s permanents to their hands. Try this card out with Wonder, Wild Growth, and other cards to make it bigger and better.

5: Ernahm Djinn- The beast is back, and this time he is in the Krosan forest. Much has changed since his time, but he is sure to make a stand with his 3G cost.

4: Phantom Nishoba- Nisshy is back, and this time it is a haunting Phantom looking to scare up some wins for ya. 5GW for a 7/7 Trampler with Deal it/Gain it and a Preventing damage mechanic makes this big Phantom a hot ticket to victory

3: Flash of Insight- The Next Fact or Fiction? Not as good, but still as good as its cousin FOF, but what makes it better than its cousin is the fact that it has flashback. Can’t beat a good ol’ Flashbacking card.

2: Scalpelexis- Scalp you for 4, again for 4, again for 4, again, again, again, you get the point. Short of the #1 Spot, but this Scalp seeker is sure to be in lots of Blue Decks.

And the winner is....

1: Anurid Brushhopper: It ain’t easy being Green, or White, or whatever color your opponent is playing, because once this bad Anurid hits the table, Sianara!!! The near-invulnerability of this card is the reason it is sure to see a lot of playtime in the arena or pits that we like to call Magic: The Gathering.

And that is it from me. Hope this list gives you some ideas for decks. If you have any feedback, don’t be shy and drop me an email: Jonmatthewsshow@yahoo.com.  In a few weeks, I will be giving a rating of the best Invasion Block cards that it has to offer. Until then, have fun!
