The main strategy is... Keep the enemy at bay
while you get enough mana in play for Buried Alive. You play
one Buried Alive to put three small 1/1 creatures into your
graveyard. You play the other Buried Alive to get 3 Ichorids in
your graveyard. You remove the 1/1's from the game to put all three
Ichorids in play. In a good game, you may get lucky enough to get most of your
creatures in your graveyard by late game, whether it be by
blocking, being blocked, or being destroyed by a spell. By turn 6 at the most,
you should hopefully have a Mortivore or two in your hand. And you should also
have killed off a bunch of your opponents creatures with Chainer's Edict etc.
You play the Mortivore(s). They should be at least 10/10 or more, depending. You
should be able to win. This deck works especially
well against overrun decks. You simply play any one creature with
a sac ability, and Last Laugh. You sac that one creature, and cause a huge chain
reaction, and unless this is countered with Upheave or something, that right
there will basically win the game. So in short, you destroy as many
creatures, your own and your opponents, as you possibly can, then bring out the
Mortivores, and destroy. My other version of this deck is played with Sutured
Ghouls. Very destructive. If you should choose to use the Avatars of Woe,
it's no large task to get ten creature cards total in all graveyards. You
can virtually play all three of 'em at once. But, I think you get the idea
of how this deck works. You could also add 4 Diabolic Edicts, as well.
