Subject: shifting sky deck
This is a pretty fun deck to play that I made a
while ago utilizing Shifting Sky from Planeshift. It is a tri color deck
using mostly UW with some R. The deck list is as follows:
4x Shifting Sky
4x Accumulated Knowledge
2x Oraxid
3x COP: Red
4x Southern Paladin
4x Crimson Acolyte
4x Sphere of Law
3x Voice of Law
2x Rakavolver
4x Bloodfire Collosus
2x Spellshock
3x Flamerift
The object of the deck is to get the a sphere of
law or 2 or a COP: Red in play with a shifting sky as soon as possible
(sometimes I will take out the Oraxids and put compulsions or some such card in
instead). Obviously, with the shifting sky you will want to choose
red as your color. With a COP or sphere of law this will give you a little
time to set things up as anything your opponent does you should be able to
prevent the damage. I added the Flamerift cuz its 4 damage for two (three
if you use the COP to prevent the damage to yourself). Spellshocks to hurt
your opponent whenever he casts anything and Southern paladins to get rid of any
creatures he manages to get out. Crimson Acolytes are cheap and their
ability is perfect for this deck. Finally, as a grand finale, the
bloodfire collosus. Get a couple of these boys out and as long as you have
a COP or a couple spheres of law out you can pretty much win the game with
those. Once in a while, I will take out the flamerifts and add a couple of
Justice or some counterspells. I know this deck is far from perfect but it
is very fun to play and when it works out right, the sheer look of hopelessness
on your opponents face is...as they say..priceless
