Subject: The Decking Deck - Ben Reynolds
Creatures -4 Mahamoti Djinns (2B 1C: Creature-Illusion: Unblockable: 2/2) -4 Scalpelexis (1B 4C: Creature-Beast: Flying Whenever Scalpelexis deals combat damage to a player, that player removes the top four cards of his or her library from the game. If two or more of those cards have the same name, repeat this process: 1/5) -4 Cephalid Brokers (1B 3C: Creature-Cephalid: Tap - Target player draws two cards, then discards two cards from his or her hand: 2/2) -4 Ambassador Laquatus (2B 1C: Creature-Merfolk Legend: 3C - Target player puts the top three cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard: 1/3) Sorcerys -4 Traumatize (2B 3C: Target player puts the top half of his or her library, rounded down, into his or her graveyard) Instants -4 Counterspells (2B: Counter target spell) -4 Boomerang (2B: Return target permanent to its owner's hand.) -4 Brainfreeze (1B 1C: Storm: Target player puts the top three cards of his or her library into his or her graveyard.) Artifacts -4 Millstones (2C: 2C tap - Target player puts the top two cards from his or her library into his or her graveyard.) -4 Jesters Caps (4C: 2C tap - Sacrifice Jester's Cap: Search target player's library for three cards and remove them from the game. Then that player shuffles his or her library.) Lands -20 Islands This is the second deck I've submitted to this site, my first one is a blue counter control (one that actually works) and I'm thinking of revising it soon. This deck is supposed to do just what the title says, deck your opponent to death. Litterarly EVERYTHING in this deck does that, except for the counter spells, boomerangs, mahamoti djinns, and lands. So 28 out of 60 cards. All of which can be used more than once, except for Jesters Cap and Brain Freeze. So 20 out of 60 cards can be used over and over again, turn after turn. As usuall, save the Counterspells for something special, and save the boomerangs until right before something nasty is about to happen. The really nice thing about Laquatus is that his abillity does not cause him to tap, this doesn't mean you should attack, keep him to block. I know the Mahamoti's don't have any special abillities, they're just there for brute force. Jesters Caps should be used differently dependnig on what kind of deck you're playing against (duh!) but here are some un-orthodox tricks. -If you've never played the opponents deck before, spend awhile just rifling through it. -If none of his cards seem particularly threatning, take out his lands! -If he has them, go for the Counterspells and the like first.
