The year I stared playing magic (1997) I took a deck like
this to a local tournament and was impressed at how well it locked opponets dowd
(and drove them nuts). I've rebuilt it from time to time but
I didn't get to improving it. I used to build many
many decks. After I finished it, it proved to be insanely
fast. The deck is ancient (It was ispired by a 1997
Inquest magazine article an I used the origonal decklist with the
substitutions they suggested here). I would like adavice on how
best to use the following part of the deck: the
Elves, Winter's Grasps, Thermokarsts, Molds and stunted growths. I
just came back to the game and I am going to make the deck current.
Any advice? Yes, I do have recent decks, but this one was quite fun
to play (but annoying to paly against). This section looks good
for type 1.5 which I am going to be playing in.
The deck plays a turn 1 Elf and follows up with a turn 2
Grasp or Karst and even more land destruction. Stunted Growth then wrecks
the opponent (3 turns with out land). The artifacts hold off creatures and
Icly makes Kudzu go wild. The deck has trouble with lots of current big
creatures. Elepant Guide, U/G madness, Beasts+ Reanimator look
intimidating. Black controll and burn/sligh look good at killing
elves. I need to get to a local card shop to palytest it and that means
playing it in a tournament (It needs newer cards!).
Any suggestions?
