Subject: Type 1 Utility Dragon
Combo Deck
Hey Y'all.
This is my new concoction. I took some ideas
from other people on Brainburst.com's boards. It uses the same engine as a
normal Dragon Combo, where you use Animate Dead on Worldgorger Dragon to move
everything out of play and back in infinitely. But instead of only having
one or two kill cards, i've included 4, ranging in color and one's even a
creature! Please write me with any questions, comments, concerns, anything
you'd like me to hear about this deck. So without further
ado...
Utility Dragon
Creatures: 12
1 Avalanche Riders
1 Highway Robber (kill card)
1 Monk Realist
1 Phyrexian Delver
1 Ravenous Rats
1 Striped Bears
1 Whirlpool Rider
1 Yavimaya Granger
4 Worldgorger Dragon (combo
piece)
Enchantments: 4
4 Animate Dead(other combo
piece)
Sorceries: 10
4 Buried Alive
1 Drain Life (kill card)
4 Exhume
1 Kaervek's Torch (kill card)
Instants: 7
4 Dark Ritual
1 Demonic Consultation
1 Entomb
1 Searing Touch (kill card)
Artifacts: 4
1 Defense Grid
1 Lotus Petal
1 Memory Jar
1 Sol Ring
Lands: 23
7 Swamp
5 Mountain
4 Rainbow Vale
3 Undiscovered Paradise
3 Forsaken City
1 City of Brass
OK, I don't plan on giving a full
card-for-card, just what i think needs explaning. If you want to
know the text on any of the cards, I'd suggest checking
Blackboarder.com.
Avalanche Riders: If I have one of these out
when the Dragon goes off, it kills all of their lands.
Monk Realist: Deal with any enchantments,
kills all enchantments if Dragon goes off and this is in play.
Phyrexian Delver: Infinite Reanimate if
Dragon goes off and this is in play!
Ravenous Rats: Infinite Discard if Dragon
goes off and this is in play.
Striped Bears: Infinite Draw if Dragon Goes
off and this is in play.
Whirlpool Rider: Infinitely grab new hand if
Dragon goes off with this in play.
Yavimaya Granger: Pulls all of my basic lands
if Dragon goes off.
Buried Alive: Duh! Gets dragon and any
2 utilities into graveyard.
Exhume: I can Exhume one of my utilities
before the Dragon goes off.
Defense Grid: Help with
counters.
That's my deck of choice this moment. Haven't
done extensive testing with it, so if anyone wants to help me with this on
apprentice, give me a holler. My e-mail is ChnkyBoy@comcast.net. Until next
time, Andy.
