Subject: March of the Machines - Type II
Alright then. Now for a card that could have been broken if it had been any
cheaper:
March of the Machines 3U
Enchantment
Each non-creature artifact is a artifact creature with power and toughness equal to it converted casting cost. (Equipment that's a creature can't equip a creautre.)
Alright then. Once Onslaught shifts out, this'll definitely get better, as Naturalize will be gone (curse them for switching Green and White) and there will be very few decent enchantment removal spells. Personally, this card can be very good: knocks out Chrome Mox, any artifcat lands, Welding Jar, kills off every piece of equipment...
However, there's nothing really much to do if you're staring down at a bunch of artifact creatures that tend to have casting costs of 3 or higher. Hey, there's always Solar Tide....
That's a good point by the way, as now both players can summon creatures whose power and toughness are equal to their casting cost, which is a rare thing in MTG. Anyways, back to the point:
Quicksilver Elemental: Yeah, a decent blue creature. Well, with all of your artifacts now creatures, meaning Quicksilver can copy off their abilties.
Wouldn't it be nice for it to have another Proteus Staff, Goblin Charbleacher, or Oblivian Stone? Well, granted that they aren't all that good abilities, but hey, haveing another Quickslive Fountain at the very beginning of your upkeep ain't too bad.
Yeah, blue gets something decent against artifacts in this block, but it's all shot down with very little to support it except creatures. Eh, I still say hang onto it. It might actually be worth to.
